Giovanni’s a must.
IMO....Big Wave/Jenny's Shrimp trucks have better offerings, aside from better parking access. Giovanni's Overdrien/overhyped

I love that drive down the H3! And now I’m craving loco moco.
Riiight?! It's such a gorgeous drive. And that loco moco was pretty tasty. My favorite one is from Heavenly (in Waikiki). They have a really yummy teriyaki glaze that they put on it. So good!

I will be there in November ! You're videos are so helpful in planning. We were there 7 years ago and definitely over planned. This trip will be more laid back.

If you attend Toa luau the cost includes free admission to Waimea Valley. Toa luau is very good too.

I did a tour of the island and I want to see more of the North Shore. Still debating to either do a rental car, Uber or tour

@@jennyd5728 I did a tour but I found out from a local to take the city bus to Haleiwa s town of the north shore.
What month did you go? Is north shore still snorkel friendly in October? Or is it already windy? Our fav beach spot is in between pupukea and turtle bay. We went in may.😊
This itinerary was filmed end of August so still summer-ish.
NS beaches, btwn Mokuleia(W of Haleiwa) to Ali'i (Central Haleiwa) to Kuilima/Turtle Bay(E of Haleiwa) is Virtually Closed down by BIG Surf(btwn 18-25ft +), powerful shore breaks & vicious tides! This usually happens btwn mid-Sept to late March/early April. .....Snorkel friendly beaches are mainly on S shore(WKK/Ala Moana) during the same time frame.....But Always heed lifeguard warnings/High surf signs! Too many visitors have had accidents & ended up in hospitals/ERs, or Worse!
....Don't Become An Statistic!...When in Doubt, Don't Go Out!
No matter how many videos have seen about Circle Island tours(Any, not just thru tour companies) have yet to see extensive run-down/evaluation of Nuuanu Pali Lookout....
In this video (stop 1, time stamp 02:06), I show a piece of it and some of the signage at the Pali Lookout of the battle: ua-cam.com/video/d_2D6LbGQ9E/v-deo.html . It's the site of a historic battle (Battle of Nu'uanu) where King Kamehameha's soldiers fought others off the cliff - literally - to their deaths. There's definitely a lot of history at that site.
@@YestoHawaii....Being an amateur Hawaiian history buff, am always looking for history/stories(mo'olelo) behind Hawaiian attractions, many times leading to long-forgot facts/history's!-lol...Such as story of old Nuuanu Pali Hwy, Chinatown history & Pu'u O Mahuka heiau(above Waimea Valley). The More I research, the More I learn/re-learn....
Is there cellphone signal in north shore? We will need it for the maps to drive to those destinations?
It depends on your phone service. T-Mobile works well. Verizon not so much.

@@YestoHawaii Not really. Most of your video is just you talking about those sights instead of actually showing them. Examples are Waimea Bay and the East coast drive.
