    Just finished my first lettilopi sock! Love love love, you are so right about them. Cozy, not scratchy and they knit up soo fast! Yay! Thanks for the inspiration for a great knit. Onto the next sock. Used Susan b Anderson pattern for worsted socks.

    Hi Anna, recently found and love your podcast! I’m currently knitting with that exact green drops silk mohair, pairing it with Nutiden for a UraUe slipover. I recently downloaded the No. 11 pattern so your comments on that pattern are definitely of interest and useful and I just bought the same pattern book from Knitt! I so identified with your obsession in ‘needing’ to find that pattern book… I’ve been there many times! Also, as a grandmother of still very young children it was lovely to hear what you said about your grandmums and I hope my grandchildren speak about me like that one day. I have to admit that my yarn buying habits are a ‘little’ out of control but I do admire how you recycle yarn and make beautiful jumpers with it, your ‘stinginess’ does you credit!

    HI. Your Aros sweater is beautiful. I have seen that pattern a few times but overlooked it. It was not until I saw yours that I'm now considering it. I think a lot has to do with the color choice. I love plotulopi(all lopi, really) and what a great choice for this. It's such a magical yarn and hard-wearing. I'm not a fan of weaving in ends, but using lopi is perfect as I can easily rub them together to join - just as I would do if the yarn broke. Love love love the long format. A great companion when I knit that also gives me ideas for my next project.

      For you sweater #11, you said the armholes were rather thin and you would increase the next time. How would you do that? Is it as simple as continue knitting before splitting for sleeves?

    • @apt.atelier
      @apt.atelier  2 роки тому

      yep! I would just knit the front and back sections longer before joining in the round to continue down the body.

    Your color work cardigan is beautiful, love the color pattern, I wouldn't change a thing except perhaps the size if it feels too tight.
    I'm really inspired to knit my first sweater with a saddle shoulder technique, I like what you have shared and have taken many notes!

    I had the same issues with the Sweater no 11. Increases will be thight anyway as you pick up the strand between sts and this tightens the neighbouring sts. I knited a Sandnes Garn cabled sweater with the same construction and this pattern had me knit the shoulder "seam" sts twice ie knit 3, turn, p 3, turn k3, inc 1, knt to last 3, inc 1, k3 and then the same way back (only with p instead of k). This did not feel tight. I tried to steam the no 11 shoulder seam and stretch and it helped a bit. About the small armholes - fortunately I heard someone talk about this issue and I made my front piece longer before joining to knit in the round. Now I go back to watch the rest of your podcast :D

    Hi Anna! Just found your channel :) The lettilopi socks look soooooo cozy! Is the texture scratchy at all on your feet? And did you block them prior to wearing? And lastly - what made you choose to knit these toe up vs cuff down?
    P.S. what is that sound in the background that persists throughout the video? It sounds like someone is spinning a wheel in the background. 😄

    • @apt.atelier
      @apt.atelier  2 роки тому

      hi! they are the best. I don't find them scratchy at all, but I generally can wear lopi next to skin without an issue. I think because the fabric is so dense the guard hairs don't poke out as much. I did block them! I block everything, I'm a blocking evangelist. I think it's especially important with lopi, it helps the yarn bloomand makes it softer. I wanted to do toe up so I could gauge how much yarn I would need for future lopi socks! also, the clicking is my camera lens focusing, I know it's annoying, I need to figure out a better mic situation and hopefully that cuts it down a little. thanks for bearing with me in the mean time!

      @@apt.atelier HAHAHAHA love it “blocking evangelist” 😂😂😂 OKAY gotcha! That was super insightful!! Can’t wait to knit lopi 🌚🌚🌚 I see the lopi cakes/wheels in yarn stores all the time and they’re so alluring and then I always chicken out; but your love for lopi in this video is sooo convincing and I consider myself #influenced. 🤸

    Aros sweater: I am wondering if your raglan stitches got very tight at the raglans when you started increasing every round on page 6 of the pattern? i am totally perplexed by this.

    • @apt.atelier
      @apt.atelier  Рік тому
