A perfume named after me.. 😅
If they want to watch the debate they can purchase the internet and watch it on their own devices
Lido the cold Bonito... really needs some Salt-&-Lemon
The founder of Scentbird has a shady history and should be researched before buying into
That’s what we need, a bunch of drunk cruisers watching the political debate, what could possibly go wrong 😵
You gave me a hardy laugh. Thank you, it felt good
Hysterical! 😂😂😂😂
Especially on Carnival!
👏👏👏
Best comment ever…what could go wrong 😅
No debate, no politics! If cruisers want to see the debate (and ruin/waste bunch of their vacation hours), they can purchase internet service and watch the debate on their own via UA-cam or their streaming news service. 🤷♀️ So say I!
Don't even get what goes on in the mind of those people who want it. You and I are on vacation, just want to relax and have fun, get away from the world, spend quality time with family and friends, etc!
They should have made a drinking game out of it
Please don't vote
@@GotKimchiIf If I thought you were truly interested in knowing, I’d go into detail. In short, some of us are passionate about politics, even enjoy it, and also feel some degree of civic responsibility. Invariably it’s the folks who are mostly uninterested and uninformed-and may even brag about their indifference-who create the biggest problems. 🤷🏻♂️
Record the debate and watch it when you return. I prefer to leave politics, work, worries, anger and angst behind when I cruise. It's why I go. 🙂
No. You can watch it online when you get back or on the internet. I’m on vacation!
Definitely no debate in a public forum! Ne need as it could cause disagreements in an already heated political climate! Politics should never be discussed among strangers!
The debate should not be pushed to everyone on the jumbo screen. It could be an option in the tv in your cabin, but not on the main theater screen.
Thank you John, The truth is in my 70 yrs and more than 12 presidential elections I have never learned anything I didn't already know about a candidate from a debate. I can't believe that 60 + days before the election there are undecided voters. You can't fix stupid. Thanks Tony
The situation is unique this year with the late switching of the Dem candidate. Wanting to see the only debate that may be held, live, doesn't make one stupid.
Don't worry, this time we already know how much of a train wreck a replacement candidate is.
Hell no to news and political debates in public spaces
I don't even like to talk about it with certain family members...definitely not strangers
Especially when you realize the multinational make up of the passengers it would not be of interest to all too show this!
Agreed, Hell NO, with a Capital "H"!!!
No desire to see presidential debate on my vacation. Or the fights from each side that will ensue. Everything is way too volatile these days
@vickiebridges3584 - very true
An American based cruise line should absolutely offer the debate available to watch in your cabin.
No politics in public areas. In your room only if you are interested.
I agree, in your room if you must.
Our honeymoon was a 2012 Panama Canal transit on the Seabourn Odyssey. Great ship and crew. End of an era for us.
I feel that, if they can show the debate in the cabins, they should... but that's the only place anyone should be able to watch it. If they can't show it, no big deal ~ once the people are home from their cruises, they can watch it from their DVR or stream it from the web... it will definitely be available.
We were very recently on a cruise in which we were able to see in our room the evening broadcast from one of the major party’s national convention. We were glad to have the opportunity. We did not wear or display any political themed stuff, although we saw others who did.
No keep Politics out of cruising
Exactly@N1ftyNick I am not an American and do not want to watch a political debate when I am on Vacation. Watch in your room.
I’m not sure even in private is not going to leak into dinner discussions! And not quietly.
@@Reed-2bigabsolutely! Don’t show it at all!
If you're really interested in the debate, stream it on your own device or record to watch and replay when you get home. I just sent for my absentee ballot as I'll be in the middle of the Atlantic on election day. I'm not sure how fast I'll even look for results. After all, it's a cruise, and me knowing won't change anything.
We’ll be on a cruise too that week. Voting early. Didn’t want to be home on purpose.
@cata2215 our daughter booked ours, and it was accidental. We will also be gone for Halloween. No trick or theaters is saving us money.
The debate will be all over the internet. After your cruise 🚢.
I actually got photos of the Seabourn Odyssey when it embarked beside us from Vancouver on Sept 1st. Had no idea I was taking final cruise pictures for the old girl.
Yes! In the room! Choice. Don't want to see it, don't watch. You shouldn't be able to prevent others.
Good for John. NO Politics. That might put some fire into fights onboard. Yikes.
If at all, then I would suggest the cabin only.
No debate in any public venue!
Regarding the ships cruising the Norwegian Fjords, my guess is that the reason Norway wants the smaller ships to be zero emissions is because they can get right into small villages, get under the Hardanger Bridge, and travel inland on some fjords, into more remote and protected areas and they are trying to keep pollution out of those areas. Some of the smaller ships are quite old which can mean more emissions
You show that debate your gonna have half the ship fighting..
The whole ship fighting
I'll be cruising as well when the debate is on and I was happy when I found out I will miss it..... yay!
Show it in the room! I love my vacations and I love my politics. I shouldn't have to miss one for the other.
If they show the normal national news stations in the cabins, that should cover it. No need anywhere else on ship.
Was on the Caribbean Princess during the debate doing a British Isles cruise and with the time difference it started 2AM their time. It was on CNN, Fox News, BBC all on Princess’s standard tv networks in the cabin rooms. I didn’t watch it and doubt many others did also mainly due to the time period. Think it’s somewhat funny how the different brands under the Carnival Corporation do things many times in different ways. I actually think that’s a good thing!
Show the debate in the cabins!
Debate on room TV fine. Public areas, NO.
I would agree to not showing it in a public space, but in the stateroom would be fine. Then it's up to the person there to watch or not watch. But the public spaces would be better without it.
I was on an Alaska cruise the last week of May and came across the Seabourne Odessey in the habour at Haines. The ship was moored in the harbour and look fabulous!
Agree, show the debate in your cabin room only.
Not in public spaces but if they want to watch in their cabin
The debate should not be aired in any public spaces on ship (for everyone's safety and wellbeing), but no reason not to be able to watch it in the privacy of your own cabin. And IMHO people should want to watch it! I actually don't understand Heald's answer that it won't be aired on Carnival ships because, although I purposely have not sailed on Carnival since 1997, I have sailed on other cruse lines (many, many, many, many times) since then - and they all have had several major cable news channels on the cabin TVs. The debate is being broadcast not only on ABC & its streaming platforms, but also will be simulcast on other networks and channels, including CNN, MSNBC, and FOX.
Thank you Toni for all the fantastic news!! I think if they could show it for those that HAVE to watch it, it should be in their cabins. Not everyone is a fan. Im not. Or maybe the person can watch it when they get home. A lot of tv programming can now be recorded.
The debste should be on the major news programs that come into our room.
That would mean there actually have to BE news programs piped into your cabin. There aren't any.
On vacation, no big screen but in the room is okay for people who need it.
Yes they can show it in the cabins
Absolutely not in public spaces. I see nothing wrong with showing it in the cabins.
I go on vacation to get away from politics and stresses. Happy I still have time to cruise Norway.
My family was on the Celebration during the debate in June. We watched it in our rooms. Afterwards we heard no mention of the event at all, anywhere on the ship. We appreciated access to the debate in our own cabins but I don't think it would be appropriate for the bars or the jumbo screen. I think people should have the opportunity to view or not to view.
I agree with you.... In the room is fine or maybe on one screen in a place like Playmakers on a Royal ship.
Yes, they’ll show a special sporting event like World Cup or a GP. However, it doesn’t need public viewing. In the room is just fine.
Absolutely no politics
Welcome to Texas, Tony!!💙💙
I agree with you. Show it in the room. Offer it for those who wish to see it.
I can see offering the debate as an option within cabins, but not on the Jumbotron. I get not showing it there. But it should be available as a choice for those in their cabins.
Tony, Your face has slimmed down so much. Well done!!
It should be shown in the room as an option to view if one chooses and not in communial spaces/areas.
I love “isumauki” it’s grapefruit forward
Great video ❤❤❤❤
If individuals want to watch the Debate, it will be easy enough to use their own phones and computers to watch on UA-cam. Most people pay for wireless on board.
My Dad taught me…no talking politics, religion or MONEY! And that’s that.
You can live stream it or see a recording on the internet.
Yes, add debate in staterooms.
I agree with you. They can show it in the room but not in public spaces.
Show the debate in your room or watch it on your phone or tablet
In the room, not the big screens
In your cabin only!
nope, that would not be a good idea, too much divide, and they can record it look up on line or anything else BUT watch on ship
So if the price is high because there are not enough cabins available. With the increase of ships being built off the profits made. The price of cabins should go down based on available space and they don't really need to recoup the price to build these ships.
I don’t see a problem with showing it in rooms but not in public areas like bars or on big screen.
The debate could be shown in the cabins. For the people who want it.
I concur. Show the debate on the in-room TVs (unless the network licensing is too high-priced) but not on the pool deck and probably not in a bar.
As for smaller ships (and 10,000 tons is TINY) meeting the zero-carbon requirement, it will be much easier for them to meet it than full-sized cruise ships, Carnival's LNG-powered ships are a step in the right direction, but the technology isn't there yet.
A few cruises back, I watched the National Championship College football game between Georgia and Alabama; was a little testy. Forget the TV and go have another Margarita…
Maybe in the room, but NOT in the public places.
Tony, loving your grey hair & beard....looks great 'for your face!'. 😅
We leave 9/8 for a 2 week Greenland cruise, and we will stream the debate on youtube on our wifi package in the room.
It would be great if they would show it in the room. I would be totally happy.
With Internet access people can get any info they want to their phone
Hi Tony…Absolutely leave politics off of the public areas. If they want to provide it in the cabins, good.
Otherwise let’s keep the peace on the ship😊
In the cabin is fine, but if we were on a cruise at that time, we would record and watch at home.
No politics in public spaces
Current standard of electric motors require massive batteries packs (and massive charging ports) to power larger ships which require larger space to house it all. I think 10k tonnage and under maybe able to get away with an electric propulsion system (for a 12hr charge?) and some can possibly use wind sails.
I can't imagine 143k tonnes with a sail being pushed along the Fiordes by any gentle 10 kn breeze. 😂
When we sailed in the spring last year we found ourselves spending quite a bit of time with 2 British couples. By the end we laughed and said it was interesting to hear people argue about politics that had absolutely nothing to do with us. :)
Just stream it on your phone or laptop. I've streamed plenty while on a cruise
Watch the debate in your cabins.
They can buy Internet and watch it on their personal device. However, I wish that the cruise lines would allow guests to cast to the cabin TV from their personal mobile devices.
They can show them in the rooms ONLY!
tv is not the only way to watch the debate. UA-cam will probably have it available, if not live, then probably after for viewing when that person gets home from their cruise.
Hi Tony. Big news for the cruise industry. More ship's, better emissions, etc Yes cruising is definitely back! I never discuss religion or politics. With anyone ... If I'm on vacation I have no interest in politics. I'll see it when I get home. As always thank you for all you do. Hope you're enjoying the conference ❤
blessings. tony 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
I would have liked to watch the debate in my stateroom. No need in public areas.
I think it can be shown in the room, but not on the Jumbotron or in bars. If people wanna watch it, let them watch it in there in their cabins. 😎😎😎
When you said cruise ship births, I assumed you meant kids born because of cruise trips 😂😂
Good for Carnival decision and good for Norway...easing into things, but do not like only ok for big ships. I think the fights lately on politics and on cruise ships......skip debate on the cruise...people can catch on their phone maybe??? or later when home...
people have personal devices to watch that on. Get wifi for the day and watch it on your tablet or phone if it is that important.
No debate anywhere, as even if showed in cabins could spark dissention amongst occupants'. Your choice of candidate and vote is a personal choice.
Debate in the room yes, jumbo tron no!
Show debate in rooms would be my vote
Yes! Definitely! Make it available only in one ‘s room so as not to disturb anyone.
If the number of cruise cabins keeps increasing, the need for cruise line private islands will need to increase also
Wow havent been to your channel in a while. You are looking really good. Whatever your doing keep it up!
No politics on vacation!!
Don’t know about Carnival, but Celebrity has MSNBC and FOX News on the cabin TV. The debate will be broadcast on ABC, but both those news networks (MSNBC and FOX) will show clips and have commentary afterward. Don’t think the debate should be shown in public areas.
A recent cruise I was on showed nothing but rugby highlights, which was painful and likely indicated they have limited available channels. I think if possible, they should stream debates as a suit-only channel option, not on the jumbotron.
Probably have to go with no on the debate but it doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I WILL be home for it and I will be watching it. That being said, I'm thinking it wouldn't be any worse than a football game. 😊
No way, José. 😮Do you want a food fight in the main dining room?
