That again was fun to watch. There's nothing like catching a mess of whiting. Certainly one of the best fish for action and definatley great eating. Thanks BBB!
I love watchin' you boys do the same fishing I did back in the 70's, 80's and 90s. I've since moved to the hills of Texas, watching nice bucks in my yard this morning. Great vids, enjoy tf out of them.
I've done mostly set up fishing at the surf. This video reminded me of watching another guy walking down the beach with a small pole and just a jig tipped with shrimp and he seemed to be pulling in Whiting regularly! Well then, my 60 something year old bones will change up the next time I'm at the surf! Great video 📹 👍 😀
hard to letem go back..on the ultra lite rig much more fun. those are the best eatin size, mithie tastie...good info fun watching..have a happy new year..
Matt...I fish the OBX and up here they're called sea mullet yet where I come from in NJ they are kingfish. I'll take a 13-14" whiting over an 18" speck for fight. Both are great to eat!
Why don't you mention and demonstrate your rod and reel maintenance after fishing in salt water for the benefit of the freshwater anglers that may wet a line on vacation.
It’s the same as you do for saltwater equipment. Just rinse it in fresh water. No high power spray. Just rinse it and spin the reel. Penn makes a good spray in a bottle. But rinse it for a while.especially the spool and line. When you get home take it apart and grease and oil it. 😊
I ruined about 6 7 foot catfish rods catching sharks and a couple stingrays in salt I live in chilton co al so I didn’t know about how salt fd up reels
I have noticed that a number of UA-camrs at the start put a loud action and then back up. I now just forward a minute or two, and no longer watch the beginning. Always on yours, just feedback.

Gonna have to give this style a shot on the northeast coast of Florida. Way to get on them!

Yes the real name for these fish are kingfish. There are three different types of them. Gulf Coast, Southern and the Northern varieties.
In Louisiana we call em channel mullet. It was great hearing his explanation quite a few videos ago and the different kingfish species.
@@rhiverlandsongwhat about the kingfish in the Pacific Ocean, what are they called?
Sorry to hear about the charters coming back Matt. I know it's hard out here in these UA-cam streets. 😒
Lol it’s all good! We are looking forward to it!

Awesome video can wait to hook up with ya
What size rod were you using? Is 6’ an okay size or would you recommend something smaller?? I LOVE this style of fishing but want to get better
Why not try an 8-9' crappie jig rod with same reel/line/bait setup? Bet your casting distance would substantially increase...
Does that egg sinker stay put or go down the beach?
Nice Bucc-ees bag........
What camera do you use?
I guess Brant stopped posting. Wow

Big pompano at plantation rd
It would serve you right to tie into a 40 inch redfish!!!
I would love that! Lol
First !!!
That’s something I’m gonna do next vacation
