Man, Apollo Smile. She just always tries so hard at everything she does. She has done a lot of anime dubs, including my favorite fighting game anime, Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer. Can't wait for you to cover that game, but the anime is just... something else. The last I saw, she was teaching young women to do the same things she was always doing her best at: dance, singing, and performing. I think that's great for her, and it might be what she's best at. I'm a terrible driver, but I trained dozens of truck drivers in the Army, and many of them have gone on to be successful commercial truck drivers as well. As they say, those that can, do, but those that can't, teach.
Thanks for the comment, 100Servings! It's always a pleasure to read what you have to say! I've never heard of Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer before, but I've added it to the video ideas list 🔥
@khanage1344 Masami Obari made most of the fighting game anime, and they're all special in their own ways. Notice I say "special", not "bad" or "good". Some just have to be experienced to know.
She currently is part of a music duo with her husband called Wingbeat iirc. Thankfully doing alright she's still very involved with her hometown community too last i saw
Really glad to see you covering one of my fave sega ips, hope to see this unique and creative series have a come back soon. Maybe with the release of the space channel 5 movie that’s supposed to happen there can be a game to coincide with it 👀
On a Japanese survey ranking the audience's favorite Dreamcast games, SC5 was ranked high and one particular quote that stood out to me, via Google translate admittedly, described it as a "stupid happy time" in a good way. And i agree, its goofy as heck but is one of those games that just brings joy. Loved playing the sequel on steam and always love seeing folks talk about this awesome series. Pine is best girl btw
I never owned a Space Channel game (or saw one available in stores/market, though I was a kid back then) but I certainly remember Ulala popping up whenever I saw stuff relating to the Dreamcast. Having become a fan of rhythm games to the Vocaloid games, I'd have probably liked this series. 0:34 - The 60's to 80's sci-fi aesthetic is really charming. Really become fond of the style lately. 1:38 - Certainly quite a shift in design; her newer design feels, for lack of a better word, sexier in approach. Which admittedly fits the idea of her trying to get more attention and views for her broadcast. 2:52 - They really pushed Ulala and Space Channel 5 a lot. An interesting choice to push ahead as a key mascot of the Dreamcast at the time. 5:01 - An from what I've heard, very difficult. It's one of those games that fits with Sega's arcade-based mindset for their game development. 7:22 - Kind of went full circle for her, didn't it. Nice that someone so enthusiastic about the industry got to be a part of it.
Thanks again for watching, Grin Brothers! I know I say this three times a day, but I genuinely appreciate the time you spend to write detailed comments on my videos. You're one of the reasons I'm gonna keep going with the videos 🎉
@@khanage1344 Awww, much appreciated. It delights me to receive such a thankful reply. Glad also to see your Segalicious series is doing well. Also, I don't know if you're taking recommendations for Segalicious but I would recommend Shining Soul II on the GBA. Great game (though I never did play the first entry).
1:16 "Isthatanotherreporter?!" I'm more familiar with Space Channel 5 - part 2, since I had a ps2 growing up, but man, this, Parappa the rapper/Um Jammer Lammy and Bust-A-Groove is what got me into weird but funky/groovy and colorful rhythm games, heh.
Space Channel 5 is such an underrated treasure :3 I had no idea that Mexican Flyer was a licensed soundtrack! Now I know why the song got removed from the international releases of the first Project X Zone game. Also, fun fact: In the Space Channel 5 VR game, Ulala has a new English VA, Cherami Leigh!
If Sega didn’t self sabatoge itself with the 32X/Saturn, we could’ve had a Crazy Taxi movie and Space Channel 5 tv show. 😭 Also wish Apollo Smile returned to voice for the PS4 VR remake.
@@rikibdgd4764 Big time. The Dead Or Alive arcade port was perfection on the Dreamcast. The PS2 port felt like a bootleg. Sword Of The Berserk was the best game in that franchise as well. Khanage has shown just how perfect the MvC2 port was as well. Now if we could only get a Skies of Arcadia sequel...🤔
This game was too cool for its time. It's too cool for today. It's too cool for the future as well. We don't deserve how cool this game was. Sega Forever. 🫡
I love Segalicious
And Segalicious loves you!

@MagillanicaLouM I'm really happy to hear that.
don’t stop making these, they’re so good
Thank you very much for watching 🙏🏻

Maybe, am I opinion the movie should be a musical. This is a rhythm game so it would probably do an adaptation justice if it was a musical.
Genuinely one of my favorite games, not many games ooze personality like this one to me

I swear, hearing Mexican Flyer is some neuron activation shit for me. Love these videos!
I've seen your videos before! It's crazy to me that you know who I am 😂
Thanks for watching!
I feel like a review of space channel 5 by a fighting game youtuber with a NEOTWEWY pfp is made specifically for me in mind :3
You're in good hands with me, garulouie! Just please ignore the fact I left the oven on before I went to the store

We got a vr game in 2020 so the franchise is ok for now.[I still want a switch game though]

I watched some footage of the VR game when I was making this video and although Cherami Leigh does an amazing job as Ulala, it's not the same 😭
@@khanage1344 well one of the OG English voice actors reprise their role in the VR game so that was a silver lining.
i downloaded part 2 for my Ps3 and i'm stuck on the first level! 😭😭😭🤣
😭
the dreamcast mogged the ps2 at least for games i actually would care about
real
I agree 100%
