"It wears meowwwww"
+Lily Chellingsworth (thecatzmeeoow) Hahahaha :)
LMAO! perfect
hihi😂 👍👍😴
cat version xD
Cant help laughing!! lol
Vance joy has a great voice... But still has a hard time reaching those Thom Yorke high notes haha
true, I used to be able to hit them, but then or course when you get older you lose the ability to hit the high ones. I wish I could sing like Thom.
Thom Yorke used a falsetto and falsetto cracked sometimes
Eric Bumbera Thom Yorke is one of the best vocalist of our generation. he's hard to live up to.
LazyLasagna his voice is dying too unfortunately. On their latest record you can hear splicing and a general decline in his vibrato.
very few match those 1990s thom yorke highs. unreal falsetto
"please make very very good noises" ahaha
Very ballsy to cover an all time classic, and one this difficult. Pretty good I reckon. I had no love for Vancey, but he's up a few points with this effort for mine, kudos.
+Chris Martinez While it may true that some Radiohead fans hold that sentiment you do have to admit that they make more sense than the Lana Del Rey/21 Pilots fanatics that are out there. smh
@@benjamindoggett4570 Lana deal Rey is great prove me wrong
So good this song just takes me away in my own head and then I snap back to reality
When did Roger Federer start playing drums??
intersweat it's to keep him busy when the tennis circuit is having a break.
intersweat The bloke actually used to be my physio!! amazing how far he's come now to be the drummer!
i thought that was Alexandre Pato...
andre emanuel who ?
nvm. he was a brazilian soccer/football player. was a prodigy but turned out to be a major flop
I don't care what anyone says, this is a really good cover, the emotion is conveyed very well
no greenwood solo
Thom Yorke's voice is almost impossible to cover. And this was still fantastic. ❤
Every person on this planet can only dream of such a flawless introduction
Damn.. I really wanted to hear that sax get lose... They played it safe and did a awesome job on a song that is very near and dear to my heart. Great job.
Robb Stark singing and Paul Rodriguez playing drums
Juanjo Robleda is federer at drums
Ser Loras I think :-)
am i the only one who thinks that alex turner could have pulled this off so well. with his raspy voice that always sounds like there's a hint of melancholy to it. not that vance didn't do a good job, cus they did, but you know, just my two cents.
+Yasmine Lazuli No you are not my friend. The search that got me to this video was Arctic Monkeys Radiohead cover :).
+Canute Crasto totally. just imagining alex singing this gives me goosebumps. i hope it happens!
Considering how grossly inauthentic and laboured alex turner is these days, it would be such a shit cover
@@canutecrasto hi Canute.
Are you agreeing to this comment or disagreeing? I don't fully understand how you mean what you wrote?
I'm not trolling or disregarding your comment in any way, just how i'm reading your message is all...
Thanks dude :)
@@bromunculus6117 no they don't but I hear what they are saying, and can almost hear it myself.
When it comes to covers you;ve either gotta nail it or make it your own.
Vance Joy (if you're not Aussie) played this at the Easter Party JJJ (triple J) a national station puts on every year, and he (although I felt if he made it his own he could have nailed it) done a great job at keeping it raw and original.
wow. vance joy doing a cover of a song by my favorite favorite FAVORITE band, radiohead. love this is much, amazing.
At first, I didn't appreciate the simplicity of Philip selway's drumming but after I listened to this cover, I really do.
Someone who listens to use Radiohead and Muse (according to your pfp)
You're a man of style
Something I didn't know I needed. Very well done.
Thank you amazing cover
Vance has a great voice but this really lacked emotion. I feel like the gentle attention that Thom gives it was really missing. Sorry, not a candle to the original.
Spot on
+Marc w Funny thing is that Vance tends to get emotions flowing in his own musics, but he have a hard time trying to express this in covers.
Yer he got no grunge in him
No vocal note is not on rythm but the voice is good
@@hinaroh8159 Voice is decent, delivery isn't there; throws me off
"Where's meow"
Floyd Wilcox where's meowth? - pokemon ash
Such a beautiful song.
Really good voice and band so good
Wow!, didn't know Danny Rand sing so well. This Iron Fist has it all.
One of my favouritest song done so beautifully
Billie Forsyth
Vance : how?
Thom yorke : 😽
Very good!!
I was not expecting this to be this good. Thumbs up boys.
damn it's bold to cover radiohead in general, and to pull it off is soooooo rare this is cool
Love this song 🥹🫶🏻🎶🎶🎶🎶 Kelly Clarkson covers this absolutely amazing 💝🎶🎶
Is it just me or is he getting faster every 10 seconds?
That's what i thought. It takes from the emotion of the song. This song need to be played chilled.
It's definitely 20-25 bpm faster in the end than the start. But that's pretty usual for live performances without clicks
Not usually one to listen to Vance Joy, but this is pretty damn sweet!
This is beautiful :)
This come second to the best fake plastic Trees version I have ever heard. 1st was by Radiohead in Glastonbury 2003
Glastonbury 03 Version is in another universe, its crazy
Thats so god dam true
U should listen to this one ua-cam.com/video/eFhmguc-guo/v-deo.html
Not all that different from the original, but with this song, that's actually a good thing. Great-sounding cover.
Amazing!
Great job, guys. Nice.
Jhon Snow is playing radiohead...awasome! xD
Looks a bit more like loris tyrell to me
@@joepope5793 a lot more
Where is the Georgia live performance?
This is definitely my third best version . Original, Kawehi, Vance joy
This is so good. Thankyou JJJ and thankyou Vance Joy!
YES NEVER CONSIDERED THIS COMBINATION NOW I CANT UNCONSIDER IT YAY
This song is just exquisite & this version does it justice. The instrumentation is especially great. Other really good covers of it, though more spare, are phoebe bridgers & arlo park's collaboration and Alexander Mills' cover.
It’s good.
Admire him for it.
Vance Joy fan now. thank you.
Chase Eagleson is still my absolute favorite cover of this song.
"Good nothing
Or
Bad Nothing."

is everyone forgetting a cover its not supposed to sound exactly like the original
agreed
Yeah, that's why I used to hate covers but now it's the reason I love them, they're different.
HecticBuzzVideo still need to sound good though 😂
The original song is the set standard. What is mainly judged is if the cover is good or not, not how same it is to the original.
Regardless, this cover met neither. Sorry, expectations are high.
There's a reason radiohead songs are rarely covered and that's because expectations are always high.
i think.drums must be relax, chill.and give a soul for frontline
he killed it, idk what everyone’s talking about
Yeah he did pretty well ngl
oh... I made myself sad... beautiful song. Beautiful version♥
Wow.
Really nice
why this song always makin me feel so blue...
I wanted to hear more emotion in his voice. Other than that, he did a decent job. On the part when Thom sings " I can't help the feeling", you have to feel what he feels and I didn't get that.
I don't understand why everybody is being so tough on him.... This is a pretty good cover regardless of any changes to the original. Some of you make me disappointed to be part of the Radiohead fanbase with your ignorant, close-minded opinions on how he doesn't compare to the original - one simple tip - DON'T COMPARE A COVER TO THE ORIGINAL.
Vance is not Thom, therefore he is not required to sing or plat exactly like Thom would.
P.s - I'd love to see all of you haters do a more faithful cover than Vance's.
well said my man
Doesnt take a good chef to tell if a meal is shit, so I think the line “is like to see you do better” is invalid. Also I think comparing to the original is fine, everyone’s allowed to give their opinion. That being said I agree that people shouldn’t be so toxic when comparing different versions of the song
Angus Murray im not comparing it to the orignal, its mediocre on its own lol
absolutely stunning.
Very good noises were made
What is loras tyrell doing covering Radiohead?
Did the High Sparrow allow this?
Very good noises lol
Wow! The more I hear this cat the more he impresses me. Nailed a classic!
This was a nice version, didn’t like the ending (without the silence from rest of band) but was nice ❤
i think slowing down by only 5bpm would make miracles
God the fucking tempo is all over the place.... Guys have no rythem
cant that be good sometimes, though?
**rhythm
Eric Bumbera It's Vance, his strumming is all over the place. He keeps speeding up. If he didn't have the band he would be in trouble.
still more popular than any of you flogs though
Fili Firebeam that's the main problem.
Nice
I like this version, although I have to say one of my favorite things about the original is Jonny Greenwood shredding towards the end.
However the brass was something new, and every cover should try to do something different with the original.
thought maybe they would add more and more and end up with opening the curtain behind and orchestra playing together
Awesome!!
The Horns did a decent job. Decent cover :)
If I could be who you wanted...all the time
In the immortal words of Chris Tucker, "That mans killin a classic" ! That was painful to watch.
Pretty awesome stuff
Very Good
Holy hell its Loras Tyrell!
okay well this seems like an unpopular opinion but i loved this ❤❤
I loved it, too. Vance shouldn't be compared to Thom. Thom is a legend by this point, so it's unfair to Vance to have to live up to those high standards.
He needs to work on Yorke's phrasing style, a few times it sounded awkward
best cover ♥
Anyone know what guitar he's using?
its the maton srs70c
much thanks!
Why is the immortal Iron Fist covering Radiohead?
Nice one 👌💙
All the time.... All the time....
Great cover!
it's rubber plans
bill mullarky Rubber plants exactly
Rubber plant
Robert Plants
The golden rule of covers. If you can't add to it, don't touch it....
MsDarcyfan the golden rule of music... it's about doing what you want
+MsDarcyfan says who? I prefer an accurate homage.
MsDarcyfan I like that.... Too many artists just try to sound the same as the original
David Edward I like to see it like a painting, they made a part to be like one way for a reason, when I try to play a song that is not mine I try to play like it is supposed to be played, and with the original instrumentation
Just an opinion btw
I wish people would stop cutting onions in here.
Just one word;WOW!
Thom as one of the greatest voice all time and a dirty real soul, no way for the others...I'm Italian, sorry for my english...
Great job
whenever a friend tells me they are listening to radiohead i ask them if they are OK
So nice
It's a good cover and I like it but what's the point if you don't put a spin on it in like version?
Damn good job. Dont know what the bitching about his voice is about ... he's about as close as you can get without being Thom, especially for a one-off performance.
Wait, Iron Fist is in a band?
i wish i could go driving and driving and dont stop. great felling
He looks like Danny Rand.
best cover of this song by far!!
Yoke would be so proud, just sounds exactly like the song.
Vance Joy sounds like grannies trying to sing hymns to their grandchildren.
way way better than Adele's Rolling in the Deep he did.
No se acerca en nada a la versión original, pero aún así muy bien
Tu madre es mucho bonito
Yee Yee Cowboy :')
Still looking for anyone who can beat the original
