Harvey , you are looking and sounding like a million bucks !! Always makes my day to see a new video. Keep it up my friend, we are all thrilled to see your content, you are a pro !!!!
Very good info, sir! Came in from mowing hay to cool off with a .... uh... a "beverage" and was happy to see you had posted another video to accompany the wobble pop!! She looks like she still cranks over plenty stiff... but doable.
Good to see you back 🔧🔧 I would like.002-.0025 more but long as isn't over .003 probably be fine anymore could rock a bit and wear out fast. .012-.014 for ring gap with piston that size.
Yea it just seemed held back with the hd12 carb. That or the standard air filter setup holding back air flow. Or a combination of both. . Ether way cool build.
Good to hear your feeling better. Hope to see you riding dirt bikes on your videos soon. That inspires me to get back into off road riding. I miss my Honda 1984 XL600R. Been thinking about buying a new XR650L
Hello from Renovo PA .... Great to see you back in action....l hope that you are feeling better can't wait to see what kind of things that you came up with to do while you were recovering .... looking forward to seeing your videos....stay safe, stay healthy and keep the sawdust flying .
I had a couple 365 specials I used for fire wood. Great little saws. Must be sweet at 90 cc!!! Nice job Harvey. You look good bud. Glad you’re feeling well.
Truly good to see and here you are feeling better. Thank you for taking the time to video your builds. We are blessed you are sharing your 40 plus years of experience. And you are simply entertaining to watch. Thanks again!
Not been watching for very long but I couldn't help but wonder if you were still doing this stuff. Glad to hear that you are getting stronger. I have enjoyed watching and learning. I am not really a chainsaw guy more into large scale rc 2 stroke engines. I believe a lot of this should also pertain to rc engines. Learning to port from your videos.
Got rained out today in NH. I am sitting in the soft chair next to the wood stove listening to commonsense from the Iron Hours. Don’t get better than this. We go racing next Saturday
You are back to looking healthy again. You can see the difference in your face and the energy you give off. A lot more like the Harvey from a few years ago. I had some things going on in my life for awhile that just made me put my hobbies and my UA-cam watching on hold for a couple years (no not prison, lol) and when I came back to it that’s when you were really having the worst of your health problems and it was really hard to see you go through that after all you’ve given to all of us. It’s just really good to see you doing better. Use that better health for whatever you want to do whether that’s being here for all of us or not. You’ve given so much that you deserve whatever it is that you want now. Take care.
Glad to hear you are feeling better Harvey, that's a relief to hear! Health & family 1st; video content as you want. have missed your content, but I can certainly wait patiently until your next video is posted. Be well Mr. Ironhorse!
I'm glad your back I was really getting into that build I'm glad you are sharing your knowledge with us it's interesting to see what you make a saw do then watching buckin billy ray run your saw I'm like wow man he's good and ro share the wisdom and things you do I appreciate that
Good deal harvy I didn't ever noticed you lived so close to me a bunch of my buddies know you Jeremy ordaway and Brandon the work on the piwerl8nes your building a 100cc saw for Jerry he was telling me also you guys made a video up at my buddy's camp in Hartsville Shane McKinleys I live over hill from you in andover I've been watching you for like 3 or 4 years I never put 2 and 2 together until few months ago lol
That thing sounds amazing man! Way to go, Ironhorse mastery at its finest! Talk about the ultimate sleeper! Well if it didn't have the ironhorse sticker, it would be a sleeper...WITH the ironhorse sticker it automatically tells people it's something crazy enough to have your sticker on it! Glad to see your doing better big dog!!!!
Nice to see your doing well harv. Can a 288 husq work on a chainsaw mill? Or does it get to hot? I pulled apart a 288 for a fellow who ran it on a mill and the ring was welded to the piston on the exhaust side.
@IndianaDoug Just to chime-in where I wasn't invited, I believe it was .003" of piston clearance and .008 of ring gap... if that makes a difference in your comment? Again, not arguing, just trying to learn.
@@HayChaffandSawdust1ha ha, no worries at all. Do you think Harvey has .03” on both sides of the piston? Or .03” total? That would be the question. I had a 395 with that much and it slapped like grannie hearing you cuss for the first time.
@@IndianaDoug THAT'S some serious slappin"!! I was talking with him earlier and I understood it to be 0.003 total as we were discussing whether it was enough or if it would cold seize with the cast sleeve; also discussing the ~.007 ring gap as plenty small. He may jump in and straighten us (me) out if I misunderstood. ...speakin' of slappin" 😉😉
😊😊 HI IRONHORSE 👋 😊 have U used a a 66 MM cylinder and a 394 carb it should be well over a 1OO CCS 😊😊 a mean cutting machine let me thank U 😊😊 OMG 1O 31 2O24
I got a 286 husky and it has fire in the in the plug wire but you hook a spark plug to it and it will not fire can you take the plug off and stick the test light in there or hold the plug wire on the head and it fires but you put a spark plug on it and it quits fire I was wondering if you have an idea of the outfits around here never heard anything like that
Hey Harv, Hope you’re doing well I was curious what you think of the Walbo Hd12B or HD6 versus the Zama C3 carb on the 372xp saws? I heard mixed things about both, and that the Zama has an accelerator pump and easier to tune. Then the opposite that the Walbro is better. I’m trying to update a saw from a Chinese copy carb that is a better paper weight, so that’s why I was curious. Figured you have ran both ❤️🍻 Hope to catch another video soon
Couldn't hardly sleep wanting to hear that saw run!
I SAW LITTLE JETS OF FLAME FROM THE EXHAUST...A GOOD SIGN!

Glad you're feeling better.
The 365 X-TORQ saw do indeed have the low top filter with the staggered mounting holes
Always great to see you having fun in the shop
I cut the section off the intake that the impulse runs through so I can rotate the boot and have the carb sit properly.

Awesome video Harvey
Ironhorse was my first subscription ever back when you were building the 372 dominant saw for buckinstock
I'm loving the content Harv, good to see you.
Hey Ironhorse, great to see you feeling better! I love the videos keep up the good work.
Harvey I cut the rubber piece off that the impulse goes through and twist the boot one way or the other so the carb sits like it should,

Cut the part off the boot the I mpulse goes through and you can spin the boot around so the carb sets straight

I love ur videos and God bless you and get well soon
We missed you like nothing else
It tickles my heart to see you back at doing your magic on chainsaws. 😎👍
Harvey, always a good day, when you publish a video 🛐👌
Hi ironhorse you should bring some saws to the kreiner Loomis engine show in South Plymouth n.y. June 28-30 free primitive camping
Saya juga punya mesin husqvarna 365 sayangnya sudah tua. Tapi meskipun sudah tua tapi masih bisa buat memotong kayu bakar.
sweet.. it's a runner! I'd vote a strong .009
Sounds good 👍
Nice to see your doing well harv.
Can a 288 husq work on a chainsaw mill? Or does it get to hot? I pulled apart a 288 for a fellow who ran it on a mill and the ring was welded to the piston on the exhaust side.
I’d say you might get some piston slap with only one ring at .08”

Good to see you back and the shop cat too 👍🏼 what happened to the original iron cat?
Heah Harv, Great Vid, but where do you get those Alloy throttle cable adaptors?
That weisco piston is around $200 Harvey I bought one for a project that I was working on three years ago and they were $180 then
nice video
They do make saw pistons , have for years that’s who dominant used :-) just so you know Buddy
Yay Ironhorse!...🫡👍🤙🏽
Konten nya sangat menarik. Tapi saya tidak mengerti apa yang anda jelaskan. Apa mesin husqvarna 365 itu bisa lebih besar tenaganya dari standar ?
I got a 286 husky and it has fire in the in the plug wire but you hook a spark plug to it and it will not fire can you take the plug off and stick the test light in there or hold the plug wire on the head and it fires but you put a spark plug on it and it quits fire I was wondering if you have an idea of the outfits around here never heard anything like that
i was worried for u ! im so relieved u doing at least ok ! love you from sweden
So does is sound like a stihl?
Hey Harv,
Hope you’re doing well

I didn’t realize you had a heart attack, I’m sorry to hear that. Glad you’re doing better
How are you using 066 piston when the wrist pin is a different size than the 372 ??
WE all love you IRONHORSE:)
