  • Looking to Data Log your car? Whether your data logging for a custom tune, or just to make sure things are running properly, this OBD Fusion tutorial will show you how to start data logging with the Veepeak OBD2 Scanner. Plus I share a free app that puts your logs into a customizable and easy to read graph!
OBD Fusion is the app I use to data log my car. It’s available on both iOS and Android. I cover how to properly connect your phone to the OBD Fusion app with both systems. In my example, I use my iPhone. We cover setting up your PID parameters, what to log, where to access your CSV files, and more. As a bonus I also share how to separate specific pulls from a run, and how to upload them into DataZap to create beautiful visual graphs of your data.

*Keep in mind there are other OBD2 Scanners besides Veepeak you can use; as well as other popular apps like the Torque Pro app. Is it the best OBD2 scanner & app for data logging? Can't really answer that. My tuner recommends it, I have experience with OBD Fusion, and I found the user interface pretty simple so I stuck with it.
I have a Fiat 124 Spider Abarth tuned by Eurocompulsion. If you’re interested, I have other videos on my modified 124 Spider Abarth (and other cars), modifications, performance data, as well as turbo and car related videos. This is awesome, thanks for posting, i've been having some issues with my car running right, with a tune from a company thats based 6 hrs away from me, so this will allow me to data log so i can send them the exact data, to modify my tune, to get it to run correctly.

I imagine the Bluetooth technology might be older than today. There’s different Bluetooth versions.. newer ones give a further range and able to move data far faster.

Will this record real time intermittent problems like ignition/misfire problems?

Thanks for sharing this information. I log my car and always appears 22.48 psi. Now I know that the problem is with the obd readings.

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching! Myself and few other 124 owners are trying to see if we can get past this OBD2 limit with the OBD Fusion app. I’ll update once it’s figured out. You have a 500 Abarth right? Do you also use OBD Fusion to log or different app?

@@DrivenDistrict Yes, mine is a 500 abarth. And I use the App Torque Pro for Android. I buyed a new obdII bluetooth, because my previous was a chinese version. I also believed that´s the cause but now, after seeing your video I think it´s another issue.

Hi, is there any setting in the Fusion app where I can set the vehicle speed to be more precise, like in your video (more decimals - 28,584). I only get my vehicle speed as a whole number (for example 17 km/h) for every refresh rate. Thank you.

Did you find out why the data is coming in so slowly? You only have 3 or 4 traces, so you cannot really delete any. Veepeak makes a faster scanner, maybe many, but I have the one you have.
