Text on the cover: Still glides the stream, slow drops the boat, Under the rustling poplars' shade; Silent the swans beside us float None speaks, none heeds; Ah, turn thy head! Let those arch eyes now softly shine, That mocking mouth grow sweetly bland, Ah, let them rest, those eyes, on mine! On mine let rest thy lovely hand! From "Faded Leaves", a poem by Matthew Arnold.
Great view, I take it. Can you see the "Star" Ferries too? I had a great view yesterday, at Machu Picchu⛰, but I guess it's difficult to compare. For instance, I had no window...🤔 /J, Suécia (Cusco, Peru)🌎
Mesmerizing soundtrack. Perhaps most of people wouldn't decorate their Christmas trees while listening to this music, but it is just what I'm doing right now and it helps to create a soft atmosphere, specially because today it has snowed, and some of this album tracks lend the impression of drops of water or snowflakes falling down, falling and falling and falling...
I was just working to this and was like "ooh nice music :0 I likey-" but then river came on @16:05 and that beat drop literally made me stop in my tracks and drop what I was doing. I looked out the window of my room at the world outside. Suddenly, I was washed clean of all the things that didn't matter and basked in the grand scene of life outside of my bedroom. Overwhelmed by emotion, I stared at the trees swaying in the wind, the clouds rolling by, and the sunlight passing through the grass and felt the familiar way I used to view humans, nature, and the world creeping into my heart. The birds landed and took flight and I felt with so much determination that life is to be discovered and not something to get through as fast as possible: something to enjoy and to savour. I hadn't felt that way in a long time: like life is so big and possible. Anyways, it was a lit experience bro. 10/10...highly recommend.
This has a kind of "magical" sound, like I could imagine it as the background music for some theme park attraction where you walk around looking at wondrous things.
@@PatheticTV Oh hey, did you not play Ocarina of Time? Check out Zora's Domain music - '96, three years after this album came out. It think they hired Toshiya after hearing this! :D

It’s a famous sound sample called “Lore” that’s all over Korg workstation patches starting in the late 80’s. It’s usually layered in with other sounds.
This is beautiful but i feel like I’ve heard this before. I played a game called klonoa back in 2000-2001 and this music reminds me a lot of that game, beautiful album. thank you

Staring out my window on 5th Ave in Manhattan. The cars look like little toys. In such a crazy city I need time at night with the lights out and a nice cup of jasmine tea and this music to set the balance.
