    Tip: Valid for any car oil change. Take the oil sump plug, let it drain. And go do whatever else is needed on your maintenance schedule. Filters, cleaning, etc. When all that is done the oil should have drained completely.
    Remember about the oil plug. First to come out, last to go in. Surely no need to "wait". ;-)

    I come back to this video since many years. i.e. every time I need to do a lube job on my V50. I also order the parts with Autodoc. If the shipping price was proportional to the value and the size of the parts I would even order my small parts with Autodoc. But till then I'll order only anything above 80 euros with Autodoc. For anything below 80 Euros I'll use other suppliers. Thanks

      The difference between Total Quartz INEO ECS 5w30 C2 and Castrol Magnatec Start Stop 5w30 C2 is in the technical characteristics.

    Hi! Is that type of filter necessary inside that plastic tube? I have seen metal filters without the need for that plastic box.

      @osiz1 8 місяців тому

      For what I have seen, most diesels have plastic tube and filter element, petrol engines have metal filter.

    Hello Autodoc!
    I was just wondering about the amount of oil you used in this video.
    And what type of oil, I live in Scandinavia, so we get really cold winters, so what do you recommend?
    thanks!

    • @mortenc2373
      @mortenc2373 2 роки тому

      Hey Really cold must be 0-25W or 0-30W oil ;-)

    • @senraXD
      @senraXD 2 роки тому +1

      Hi,
      SAE 5W-30 is fine unless you frequently get temperatures colder than -30 °C in which case you should use SAE 0W-30 or 0W-40

    • @gj91471
      @gj91471 2 роки тому

      @@senraXD 0W - 30 is correct.
      40 W is too thick ( bearing clearances)

    • @erlend1554
      @erlend1554 2 роки тому

      I believe volvo recommends 5w-30

      Ford focus engine. V50 2.4 has Volvo engines ;) I own a V50 2.4

      That stupidity of "France engine" is just that, stupidity. Sorry to break it down in such a simple form. Audience demand I guess. ;-)
      This power plant goes on Ford, Mazda, Peugeot, Citroen, Volvo... As been produced, literally, by the millions! An there's tons of examples of very high milleage engines out there. Many serving on Taxis.
      Definitely this engine taught one thing to the masses. Good performance, emissions and consumption can go all together in a very smooth running engine.
      One thing negligent owners also learned. Is that a modern engine do require good oil and good maintenance schedule. What a surprise! LOL 🙂

    So much hassle for the thing you do most often. Kind of poor design.
