Awesome channel. And he takes the time to respond to comments. I've gotten one response from one channel owner but he always responds and that's pretty cool
I've been listening to your UA-cam channel for a couple of years now and it's nice to finally put a face with the voice. I enjoy your content and keep up the good work
Good to see you. A while back you asked for western themed songs, thought of a couple you might like. Both on The New Riders of the Purple Sage debut album. Glendale Train, about a train robbery, and Dirty Business, about trouble at the mine.
Absolutely love the history of the American west. It’s fascinated me since I was a young boy and has some of the most interesting and complex characters of that time. Much love from Australia 🇦🇺 🐨🦘
No discussion necessary, as soon as I got the notification, I'm In Right Up To My Eyeballs. I've been a Jesse James "Student" for Decades. Been to the James Farm, Kearney Cemetery, The Bank they "Allegedly" Robbed First, and to the James Home, where Jesse Was Murdered. If it had to do with Jesse, I wanted to see it, during my Misspent Youth as a Saddle Bum, following "The Horse Bidness All Over America. I hope to find something I didn't know or "knew" that is untrue. Any bit of new information is welcome, and I know you'll call it like you see it, and tell it like it is. All I have to do is sit back and Enjoy The "Trip" Go For It Josh, Let's Ride!!!
I used to imagine a cowboy with a droopy moustache behind your voice. Thanks for sharing your face with us in recent episodes, it's amazing to finally see a face associated with the amazing channel content!
Thanks for yet another outstanding episode. Being born in K.C. and growing up in SE Kansas and living all along the border in my adult life, I find this part of the Civil War extremely fascinating. And yes Josh, Missouri is pronounced with the long e.👍
I love the fact this is not 1 negative comment!!!!! Josh been watching you for a long time and you have the best wild west channel out of any platform!! And you strive to come out with new and better content every time! Keep up the amazing work you do!! You have captivated a whole lot of people so keep it coming!!!! Yeeehaaa!

Greetings from Missouri! I was in a hardware shop and came across a black powder 1851 Colt Navy revolver, shortly after I found your amazing channel. Coincidence? Probably. Either way thank you for these amazing stories!
I absolutely love this channel wish it was more than once a week but I know it's hard work for you to do Josh and I appreciate every episode I'm from London England❤
Ive been waiting for you to do a video on jesse james and i know you are going to knock this one out the park like all the rest ive been around since the bloody beaver days keep up the good work you are much appreciated
There is a small corner market in Whites Creek, TN at the crossing of Whites Creek Pike & Old Hickory Blvd. That small market has an apartment upstairs, the stair is on the side of the building in the back. There is a 5 foot pentagram laid into the hardwood floor. There is also a plaque on the wall of the market, on the parking lot side of the building that states the Jesse James stayed that upstairs apartment & robbed the small bank across the creek from the market. My mother & her boyfriend rented that apartment when I was 7 or 8 years old & I slept there when I came to visit on the weekends. ( side note: my mother's side of the family consists of many outlaw bikers, who bare the resemblance to modern day cowboy outlaws. So, they would have love staying in that apartment. I was too young to know what an outlaw was & spent my days playing with the poor kids across the street or by myself). If your ever in Nashville, TN you should look for that cross road & see for yourself. As I'm sure you know Jesse James lived in Nashville & worked at a barrel factory ( afterwards & now known as the Brutton Snuff building ). That's all already documented. I saw thar on a PBS documentary. Alot of Civil War in Middle Tennessee. I love listening to your program. It's good work.
Thank you very much Josh for presenting to us this information. So far I have learned alot more about Jesse James' young life such as getting shot twice in the chest; I had not heard of this about him. Also, he carrying a bullet in his chest the rest of his life brings to mind the duel that Andrew Jackson had with a man who took the first shot and almost killed him.
Definitely looking forward to the rest of the series on Jesse James, a couple of hours from where I live here in Oklahoma there's a place known as Robber's Cave where The James Younger gang hid out on occasion as well some of my ancestors the Starr family.
One of the best days of my childhood was spent at that Robber's Cave park. I didn't understand the history. Wasn't taught anything about how local the war and the west were. This channel really brings it home.
You've reached new levels, sir. I applaud your success. I'm sure we would all enjoy this moving forward. Shoot, moving backward, we caused some sort of butterfly effect. Keep that in mind. Or don't.
Nice work Josh! Though, some folks bring an “ear loss” onto themselves and smokin hot is smokin hot! Ya know what I’m sayin. Hey, who am I to judge? Right.
General Sterling price is from a town just an hour south east of me and bloody Bill Anderson is buried 20 miles south of my house, and if the railroad had done to me what they did to the James family I might’ve ended up doing the same things that Jesse did just to get back at the railroad and you’re saying the name of the state right as MizzU Rah. I had family fight on both sides, but what I will say is the union side was filled with hardened killers as well.
@@WildWestExtravaganza it wasn’t you, the way we pronounce a lot of the names of our towns is not the way intended. Like we have a Santa Fe (Santa Fee), Cairo (Kay-ro), Versailles (pronounced how it’s spelled), Rolla (Rah-la), Hayti (hay-tie), there’s more but you get it. My hometown is Auxvasse.. nobody gets that right. I didn’t mean any disrespect. I was amused at my own confusion. 🤗 I recently visited the James family farm. It was the middle of the day and there were guys out there doing some restoration on the house. They let me kind of wander around on my own as I was the only “tourist” there. I got to see the burn marks in several places from when they threw a bomb in the kitchen and severely injured their mother. I got to sit in the window she used to sit by to guard Jesse’s grave. It was really cool. Awesome video! My grandparents farm is not far from centralia and on the adjoining farm union soldiers shot six men accused of being spies. They let one go because he was 16. They were not spies. The union was out for blood. Those men are buried at Pleasant Grove church in Hatton next to about a hundred fifty years of my ancestors. I love your channel and THANK YOU for not using that AI crap! 🇺🇸🫶🏻
Your cronies at the Oregon State Mental Institution enjoy the Jesse James history you present. We all invite you to stop in for a visit and tour if you're ever in the Salem Oregon area.
The North skinned one of the men in the south and this is what would cause them to pay them back and you have a advantage if you can fight from a horse. Redlegs deserved to be punished but Jesse was lucky to just live as long as he did. I guess I always would be a southern man and I would always have to side with the south and defend it before I defended the union but they just lived in the right place and time. That's how they all become someone but just the way we see it I believe
I was inspired by your previous videos on bloody bill and Jesse James and visited their graves this past summer. Bill Anderson was most definitely the evilest person alive during that time period.
You ve built a channel to be proud of. I truly enjoy it thanks
I appreciate that!

Great movie
It always makes my heart smile when I hear that movie mentioned.
I love the on Camera start of your videos now ! Great to see what you look like and more so feel your great energy for the content .
My biological grandfather & uncle both named Jesse James. Dynamic family history, a few questions...
Josh you do great work. Thank you.❤
Much better with you on camera. It keeps my mind from wandering while listening.
Come on with the quantrill series! I love the missouri border War history. You did an awesome video on bloody bill too!

As Missouri resident I have started a lot about Jesse James you gave an honest and truthful review of his life. Enjoyed it.
If you go into the records for their county in the 1860 census, you can tell exactly how many slaves they had a lot of times

You mentioned the guy Fletcher, l remember a Capt. Fletcher in the "Outlaw Josey Wales". Run Josey, its a trap, Fletchers with them.
I think Jim lanes raid on Osceola mo and the KS red legs being head quartered at Lawrence KS was the major reason qauntril attacked Lawrence KS..
