Probably because its one of those places where only those who can afford those expensive ass things can go, plus, in Asia in general (or at least where i live) expensive cafes are quite chill and relaxing

People working on cafeterias can't work slowly... They will get fired here :/ especially when you have many customers in line.

hospitality workers sadly mostly can't afford to work slow... in a previous job I served over 2,000 customers just during lunch hours, we weren't allowed to take more than 60 seconds maximum with any customer. I wish it was possible to be more careful but sadly especially in tourist trap areas it's not possible
unfortunately america the goal for virtually every business is to serve customers as quickly as possible to make room for more, even at the expense of quality service :/
