    hope by now you have upgraded to the Chi keratin/silk infusion line which IMO is far better than the Chi Infra. It gives more volume, stretch, shine & great body. It does not damage the curl pattern which returns as soon as you wet the hair. It also is protective to the hair & easy to use.

    I might have to buy CHI smooth guard because this frizz 😓. It's interesting you turned the scarf inside out to have the silky side touching the hair. I will give that a try tonight when I wrap my hair.

    • @MomsCanBFit
      @MomsCanBFit  5 років тому +4

      Indeed! I've actually switched from Etae to Chi at this point, mainly because it feels softer. Etae tends to make my hair feels brittle. Also, I decided to try my scarf inside out one night, about 6 years ago to limit the lines from the scarf on my hair, and it worked wonders! Be sure to include the two finger method when you try it because alot of people tend to tie it too tight. Thanx for watching! Hope you continue 💖

    Your hair came out like a regular flat iron with some body & shine. It would have come out much straighter & with more shine & bounce, if you had not used the stretch method of blow drying & instead used a round brush which contacts every hair ( because of its many bristles) & exerts more tension to fully elongate the hair strands & produce a straighter blow out. The blow dry phase is important in the process. Don’t let folks fool you that a round brush isn’t good for natural hair, it does no harm with correct technique. If your not skillful in using a round brush, the next best option is a paddle brush, although it has less bristles , thus less contact with each hair strand. Also when you apply the silk infusion & wrap your hair, it is common practice to wrap the hair in Saran Wrap & sit under a dryer on a warm setting for 20 minutes. Then you can wrap it up for the night if you wish. You should have no frizz & your hair should be very shiny & full of enormous body when you comb it out. Don’t know why you would need gel on your edges after using a straightener. But hey, whatever works for you. It’s hard to get salon like silk press results at home, unless you have another pair of skillful hands helping you. However, your hair did look nice & if you are happy with it, then I am happy for you. Not everyone needs or wants their hair bone straight.

      Shyrita SShyladyB Billups : I am very happy that you will consider my tips, I do give what knowledge I have from my heart. Let me correct something I said. When wrapping your hair in Saran Wrap or tying a plastic cap snugly around the wrapped hair. You can sit under the dryer anywhere from 10 minutes to 20 minutes. Because my hair tends to dry out I go for the 10 minutes. The choice is yours. Btw, I agree with your assessment of CHI products, I love them too. I look forward to seeing future episodes of your hair slays. Bless you & your family sister.

      This lasted two weeks. The video I followed when applying the Chi Infra Collection is linked below my video. Even tho the silk infusion is for wet hair, I chose to add a little to my wrapped dry hair before putting my silk cap on. It was my preference.

      Thanks so much for your kind words! Yes, it's indeed worth it. Natural hair takes patience. I'm a strong believer that if I put my hands in my hair when I'm in a rush, my hair will suffer and shed really bad. The last time I rushed, I skipped steps and there was lots of shedding because I was not gentle with my hair. Now, I just don't touch it if I can't take my time.

    Any advice on humidity?

      Good question! I began with Mizani HRM Humidity Resistant Mist for all hair types which I brought from Beauty Mark. I got the "Light Hold."
      I reviewed it in my video entitled "Febuary 2016 Curlkit Unboxing!!" and the review begins around 13:30 mark.
      That's a very good one. I'm out of that one now. A good drug store one you can get is the one by Treseme. Walgreens carries it. They have different levels of hold on the bottom of their spray bottles from level 1-4, depending on the hold your looking for and it's alcohol free. Get level 1 or 2 if you don't want your hair stuff. 😉

      Nicke Smith Try using a dime size of the product in the jar. It did me the same way at first because I used too much of that. Less is best.
