This aircraft has been destroyed in a crash on 07.07.2009 at Batajnica airfield in preparation for an airshow routine simmilar to this one. The pilot (who also flew it in this video) died.

@cy102871 Yes it did...but what kind of Migs? Migs that had no spare parts, no functional radar, Migs that had no maintenance for over 10 years. Plus 20 F-15s with AWACS support vs 2 or 3 Migs.
@klesmer In order to see the smoke trail, you have to go into visual range combat, and that where the russians are unbeatable. US planes are not build for that. And also Mig in this footage is the A version, the first Mig version. Smoke trail is long gone since then. You are enlightened.

That is not true at all,lol.The Mig 29 has an great stability and is very manuverable at high speeds at low altitude.It can go aroun 1.2 Mach at low altitude and is very stable and "easy" to handle.
@pentraksil - Mig 21, 23, 25, and 29. In the first gulf war, Iraqi planes were maintained and their pilots had combat experience whereas USAF pilots did not. F-15s flew CAP in 4 ship flights, not 20. They had AWACS support, but within visual range what difference does that make? Mig 29 is awesome. Turning it has an edge on the F-15. You'll always find some excuse, but the statement that Russian planes are vastly superior is to ignore the facts. F-15 is undefeated and many were Migs.

@pubuman based on what? its flight safety record or time in service or kills ....NOT I think this aircraft is ok but its not one of the greatest. As far as Russian planes go the SU-30 is far above the Mig-29
