First things first, sorry for the late comment. I've been doing some home improvement/upgrades recently. Here are my thoughts: 3:35 - Police (and special rescue, which is what I did), will setup dummies or scale photos of people that are either, "friendly", or "hostile" to test the reaction of the participant much like the Call Of Duty video games with animatronic women and children. Also the caution tape might be used to block off different training modules. I know from my rescue experience that modules were often placed in various settings, and this conference center would be an ideal place for such training. 5:40 - This was likely a handwashing room for foodservice staff. 7:46 - In special rescue and police, the vertical police tape might signify rooms that were, "cleared" during a drill using a real-world building. The horizontal tape likely signifies boundaries. 16:50 - Ah, commercial wiring! This is the Service Disconnect, which is the main master switch. The huge breakers at the top or bottom of the panels are the panel disconnect. I only know this because I have designed and helped install these types of setups before. Good times. 18:40 - Shooting a lock off? Theoretically, someone like me has actually tried this once or twice... 😉 19:26 - Looks identical to the showers I had while I was at the NY State Fire Academy. So green that it will make others green with envy. lol 12:20 - A 12 gauge 00 buckshot round will absolutely do this! 22:12 - A 9mm Luger will do the same if you hit it a few times, which is totally doable if you cared enough. 24:22 - That's a really bad roof leak starting there. 29:48 - Hey, I could use some of that for when I get my monthly gift. Seriously, this is a life saver for us girls.
No worries at all, hope those improvements are going well! 1-would they shoot at the dummies or just have them there for “show”? If not what would be the importance to them? 2-did not think of that for the tape, honestly they were prolly just blocking off the areas that they already cleared- wondering if there were maybe dummies in those bathrooms? 3-I wonder how much of the tape was placed there on purpose or if other explorers and such just moved them to mess around, I guess we will never know the answer to that question. 4-showers were definitely one of my favorite parts, I just wish they turned on 5-that’s still a lot of damage and a lot of noise! Wonder if there were any noise complaints called in😂 6-I’ll go back just for you to get that for your gift😂 7- hope you enjoyed!! Different kind of explore, thank you for watching as always!!
@@TheLukeExplores Based on my own personal experience and training, here are my thoughts: 1 - They do shoot at the dummies during training, and if a, "friendly", is shot during training, it is often regarded as a failure for that training module. 2 - Usually the tape is for boundaries, but tape or markings on doors like this generally indicate cleared rooms. This is especially common in the fire service where doors are marked with different symbols one by one, and once the building is cleared, Face A (the side of the building facing the street is marked with a symbol indicating that it is cleared. 3 - Unlikely, but totally plausible. The heavy security presence was likely due to the fact that very few explorers check out active sites used by police. In other words, they wanted to make it worthwhile for them to even bother. Lucky for me, I was able to secure a NYSP escort through such a building that was used for SWAT training. The officer later invited me back to his house to shoot cans off his back porch using his pistol. Good times. 4 - So you wanted to be able to wash your hands and then possibly take a shower in an abandoned building? 😉 lol 5 - If someone lived nearby while they were in there shooting, I'm sure they would have heard all about it. 6 - My wife and I have an open bottle of Midol and one as a backup. I'm not surprised that you didn't know what it was because you're a guy. 😂 7 - Absolutely! My wife and I are fans! Let me know when you're ever in Upstate NY or better yet, if you ever plan to return to VT. Good to hear from you, Luke!
First and foremost, you’ll be getting an email from me over the coming weeks to set a date for our meet up- I’ll be back so so soon!! Second, I’ve always wanted to take a shower in a bando- looks like I gotta really put that on my bucket list now!
@@rescuegirl I’ll be honest I still don’t really know what midol does but I’m not surprised because I’m not too knowledgeable about my medicines! Also that’s really interesting to know if they shot the dummy that’s considered a fail, so odd how that stuff works?? Good to hear from you too! Hope you’re well and I’ll see you soon for our explore!
Thanks Vicky, apparently if we had gone just a few months earlier there wouldn’t have even been a broken chair in sight. Still glad I got to see it when I did.
3:49 oh man! Would have loved to had seen the school! Maybe you could turn the places you didn't like into shorts? Also this place reminds me of that school me and you went too before the power went out, still wish you'd gotten to see it while it was on
14:00 I wonder if that's also why the power in the school was left on, but now that it's all fried I doubt they'll ever revamp it because it costs too much
This was exciting! That place would be a homeless person's dream. Not going to lie, I was expecting one of you to fall off the bed. 😆😆 Watch out, that popo tape is a killer! Lol
Ngl it kinda hurt my shoulder when I fell on it- I guarantee you homeless people have been in and out of here. Looks really daunting from the outside however. Hope you enjoyed, Brent really wasn’t a fan of the tape!
@@TheLukeExplores Ouch! See? Mom was right, you shouldn't jump on the bed. Hope you're okay now. ☺️ That tape definitely had it out for him lol. I can see the homeless being there. It's safe, out of sight and has lights. Was there heat, too? Hold up, is this video 2 with no chair? 🤔
Great explore Luke. Criminal that a place like that couldn’t be repurposed for homeless people. Such waste.
Thanks Derren, it really is a shame- I bet there have been plenty of homeless people who have used it in the meantime though. Such a creepy explore

Wild place man, tons of different vibes here. The condition of this place was amazing too!
Really was quite the experience being in there, very different vibes from most places I enjoy exploring. Hope you enjoyed man💯
Awesome video on UA-cam
Great video! Super cool location it’s amazing that everything was still in decent condition

Some of the best content out there, just waiting for more eyes to see it!!
Appreciate that a lot man, we’re gonna get there- I just love making content that people enjoy!!
This was a cool place to explore. Unfortunately, the local kids trashed the place.
Yeah I filmed this abt 2/3 months ago- I’m sure it’s in even worse condition now. Shame, wish I saw this before it was leaked
I'm glad you guys got out in the end though, after hearing about those cars
Thanks!
Thank you brother ❤️

I wish I did too, won’t name the place directly here but I heard it was super cool before they burned it
Always the possibility- however I think the harsh wind takes the point this time bro, it was going crazy fr
