I press out my natural hair maybe two or three times a year. Recently had it professionally done to have it pressed and trimmed. Dealing with the wrap method was a struggle. I do not want to wake up in the middle of the night to rewrap my hair. "Ugh" This method is painless for my tender scalp. I also positioned my hair where I could sleep comfortably. I can do this and make this silk press last longer. Glad I found your channel.
I love your methods! I’ve been using the same ones for years!😂 For most of the same reasons you said, plus I tend to get sweatier with my scalp exposed (even in braids/twists etc), so the loose Bantu knots or loose pin curls help my roots stay straight despite getting a little damp at night.
Thank you so much for this video!! I'm natural and recently had my hair silk pressed and wrapped but I got so sick and tired of keeping it wrapped up with the mesh wrap. I came across your video to find other ways to protect my hair at night besides wrapping it and this video is perfect for me thank you again!!!
This video was extremely helpful! I flat-ironed my hair yesterday and tried wrapping it, which was mostly a fail, and woke up with a sore hairline. I'm subbing to see what else u got. Thanks!
Thank you! Came here looking for the "correct" way to keep my silk press when I sleep, cause I don't know how to wrap my hair (and don't want to learn). Found out I've been doing it right all this time! 😅
I do bantu knots, but I pin it down or I do pin curls. They're great because wrapping looks difficult and I don't care for when my hair is bone straight either. Bone straight hair doesn't look good on me because my hair doesn't have a lot of volume.
Nahhhh. Takes an hour if you don’t know wtf you doin like me😂 besides, I like this method much better. I get the best voluminous curls with my silk press when I do it how this girl did it.
Found this at the perfect time! I was dreading wrapping my silk press and it hurt 😩 now I got options. Thank you 💎
