- ✨ Different Ways To Wrap A Silk Press | How To Wrap Your Hair At Night ✨
Hey guys! In this video I will be showing you a few ways that you can wrap your silk press at night to make it last longer. I wrap my hair every night for as long as I can be bothered to (which is usually a week) and my hair stays fresh like day 1. After a week I don’t usually bother wrapping it because it can be tedious, but I do wrap it if I am showering or cooking because I don’t want the steam to get anatomy hair. I wouldn’t recommend wrapping your hair when working out though! Especially if you are a scalp sweater like myself!
The wrapping technique I used in this video is a technique that the Dominicans use called a Tubi or a Dubi which was SO easy to do! Very useful! I also show another method that the South Africans use called a Swirlkous where they use stockings instead.

I actaully cried while trying to wrap my hair but this video somewhat helped but I still can't do it bc the middle keeps popping up and my hair wont stay still

Anyone else use a wig cap?
My kids beautician told me yesterday for my daughters silk press get a wig cap it would lay it flat. Hair store close on us last night. Getting some this morning. She also say they have a flat wrap thing also. I gotta search today
Love the video!! I always thought you had to use a satin scarf at night, not a wig cap or tights.. I'm scared the latter will ruin my silk press
I don’t think it will ruin your silk press but it may snag (especially if there’s single strand knots) when taking it off so be cautious of that. Other than that it should be fine ❤️

I use the pants part of stockings and just cut off the leg parts and tie them in a knot. Anybody else doing this?

what is the best scarf to help with breakage?
Satin is the best for breakage but will not stay on all night lol. I recommend the silk scarf and then the stocking or wig cap on top for more security.
