Akutagawa H,S, Taiko club ”Magic Valley Folk Festival” in U.S.A Jul.16.~25. 2016 アメリカアイダホ公演 芥川高校和太鼓部

アメリカ公演は2016年7月の夏休み前に実施した10か国目の海外公演。部員45名と付添い教員3名が参加した。The performance in U.S. was the 10th overseas performance, which took place before the summer break in July 2016. Forty-five students of the club and three accompanying teachers participated.
今回は宿舎がホームステイでアイダホ州バーリー市の民家にバラバラに分宿して滞在した。This time, the accommodation was a homestay, and the members stayed in separate quarters in a private house in Burley, Idaho.
そのため、現地の人たちとの触れ合いが濃厚で、近郊の都市での演奏会にもホストの家族たちが応援に来てくれるなど大盛り上がりの毎日だった。受け入れ家庭は小さな子どもが多くいて、部員はすぐに親しくなり、ホストたちも部員に好感と親近感をもったようだ。This allowed us to have a rich contact with the local people, and we had a lot of fun as the host families came to support us at the concert in a nearby city. Many of the host families had small children, and the club members quickly became friends with them, and the hosts seemed to like and feel close to the club members.
部員にとってはアメリカ中部の大自然と農業地帯での大規模農業の体験は日本では見ることのできない貴重な体験だった。For the club members, the experience of large-scale farming in the wilderness and agricultural areas of the central United States was a valuable experience that they could not have had in Japan.
