I3asher I wish I could say the same! I started playing a month after this game released and my highest arena run was 6 wins, I still equal out to about 3 to 4 wins.. I swear I choose good cards I just think it's my play style, I can only do constructed! 😭 If you're good at arenas hmu, I need a coach!

To all the haters berating Trump for the way he played the run, saying he's a bad or overrated player, saying it's dumb to push the paladin button in arena, saying he's bad at math... All true, but at least he has the balls to post this train wreck of a game for us all to learn from.

Yeah, I think hes too used to playing the constructed Paladin decks and doesn't quite understand that a 2 mana 1/1 makes you fall way too behind on tempo.

Hero powers aren't tempo at all dude. They are value. You have zombie chow 2/3 stats for one mana so you can play 2xthem for 4/6 stats. Compare that to 2 mana 1/1 and tell me with straight face it's tempo lol.

Trump played the first game so bad. Clicking hero power gives value and literally 0 tempo. Play the 2 drop instead of getting a useless 1-1. You are just asking to lose board control like that.
I love how he talks about tempo and cruvestone the whole game but with his actual plays he continually sacrifices tempo for more guys.

Yea, he dies multiple times with cards in hand. He might have as well just try to play cards instead trying to save them and then dies with 3 cards in hand because he used that hero power.

Andreas von Friedland I imagine here in the near future Warlock is gonna dominate with how much they have available with clear. Now with more epics, rares, and spells you're gonna see some powerful Warlock from how much they have available with a higher chance to get one of their 50 aoe cards.

That's funny, because I just did my first arena run ever playing and drafter paladin. My picks were the nerfed Small Time Buccaneer and Forbidden Healing to name a few of the best. I went 0-3
That first opponents deck was so good

I felt bad, first time doing new arena i went 2 and 3 and 0 and 3, now i feel a bit better. Arena hates me though, had to pick 2 shades cause the other choices were so bad, i knew soon as i drafted i was going to hose town.

When you don't have an absurd amount of control, tempo is REQUIRED to win. Pressing the button is by definition not a tempo play.
I went 4 and 3 yesterday with rag in my arena deck. I threw just like trump sensei.

to be fair palladin button used to be the best play in pre GVG arena.

to be fair its probably in large part thanks to watching and learning from Trump and players like him. but i just feel all of the losses here could have been wins. even against that insane mage if Trump valued tempo more and wasnt so greedy with breaking the creeper especially.
its sad to see a Trump average is only six these days! i hope next month he finds his feet again in Arena. hopefully the changes will help him.
