How did this song get so good? Seriously! This is a f'ing masterpiece of rock. I hear Pavement, Cut Your Hair. Paul McCartney, My Brave Face. Avril Lavigne, Complicated. Something I can't identify by the Shins. And a few more songs all mixed up into pure genius. I love it!
This is a road trip favorite for my family, four people with differing tastes cross over at this wonderfully melodic point, love it 😊
I've never had a favourite song before - too indecisive, couldn't choose - but this song instantly became my song of the year, if not the song of my life. It has the perfect balance of sweet nostalgia mixed with coming-of-age vibes. Well-written lyrics that aren't too heavy for casual listening but also not too simple i.e. boring or predictable. Tastefully cheerful. The most effective moodbooster song ever tbh !
P.S. I agree with the other comments. Feels like the song deserves a proper single release/mv :)

I'm 48. This song is the first one in years that wrinkled my brain because it sounds EXACTLY like college radio in the early to mid 90s. That said, it's an earworm that doesn't sound like any band specifically. It's a little bit Sundays, Weezer, Breeders, etc without directly ripping anyone off (that I can tell). Well done.
My friend said, "I don't know why, but this song sounds like it should have been on the Reality Bites soundtrack."

It has a weepies sound to me, sorta like if you plugged them in with distorted guitar. This sounds a hell of a lot like Deb Talan wrote this with a harder edge and that's a perfect sound to me.
It's also a little bit Aimee Mann, Matthew Sweet, and They Might Be Giants. Great stuff!
