- In remote corners of the wild kingdom remaining untouched by forces of change there also remain animals that span the bridge of time back into prehistoric eras... like the Komodo Dragons off the coast of Java; marsupials that are rare and birds that appear as if they just flew out of the still streaming marshlands of the Mesozoic era.

Every time I see the Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom opening and hear the theme, it just brings back memories of Sunday afternoons during the summer.

Thanks for downloading these. I remember them from when I was a kid. It was one show we couldn't wait to watch. It's the only time we got to watch tv was Saturday cartoons, the Flintstones at lunch and Disney and Wild Kingdom on Sundays

Marlin Perkins died when I was 10, but he's who I remember when I think of Wild Kingdom :)
I remember this show in 1978 I was 10yrs old .......I'm 52 now I wish they would show it on TV again I miss it..
Last time I watched this show was 1978. It was SO good. Not sure why I stopped watching. I think I discovered girls. Now I'm too old for girls. So I'm back.

Thought they understood DNA when this was filmed
You can tell many of them clips was filmed in the animals enclosures at the zoo, because they keep so close up to the animals, you can't see the proper background, and when they do, do a distance shot, it's never the same as the close up. Like the kangaroo was at the edge of a water source but when they went straight to the close up, there was no water.
