I used to watch this show as a kid, and will admit that I enjoy them more now then when they were originally on television. There was reputedly an episode where Marlin Perkins and his crew captured a bear in the Florida swamps, but the bear had actually be place there beforehand by the production team. I wonder if this was that same episode?

I used to enjoy watching these episodes as a child .. So much fun to watch , and quite educational .

We used to laugh everytime Marlin would send Jim in to do the dirty work. That was ripe for a SNL skit.
