- This is a quick video where I install APEMAN C450 Dash Cam on my friends Mazda 3. Installation is very easy and I was able to do it on the parking lot.

The image quality is pretty good at night. The camera does not have night vision, but make up with the WDR, HDR features. (Note: make sure the inside of your windshield is clean, unlike mine.)
The dash camera was very neatly packaged. Very slink design with the black matte finish. No over-complicated glossy design, this is what a dash camera should look like. It has a nice 3' in display screen, it's not a touch screen but it's nice to have a big screen to navigate the menus.
The instructions are pretty simple, also in multiple languages. The cables included are long enough to run around the car neatly. The included charging cable has a built-in USB charging port, which great if you only have one cigarette lighter receptacle.
There are two different types of mounts included (1) is a suction cup the other is a sticky pad. Suction cup mount has two adjustments nobs which are very easy to use to get the correct angle. The suction mount has a twist to secure feature I like when locking the suction cup in place.
The menu is easy to navigate, tons of great features built-into this camera like motion detection, seamless loop recording and parking monitor.
It took me about 15 minutes to install and run the cabling through the car.

Does it stay running I recently bought one at Walmart and it looks like it’s going to run my battery down with the cigarette plug
Some cars have power to cigarette lighter even if the key is off. If that's the case it could drain the battery over night. Check if that cigarette lighter is powered even if the key is out. If that's the case use a different cigarette lighter in car.
You need the obd2 plug hardwire mini cable. The apeman one provides power only with g sensor. Some others provide power when an electric field around your car is altered. I like those ones
These obd2 port dash cam hardwire kits all include a low car battery sensor and won’t let your dashcam drain car battery under car starting voltage.
I bought this cam for my lovely 1996 Buick leasable. if someone steal my car with the camera. I will beg him to turn my camera and keep the car!

Bought this and my wire won’t reach to my cigarette lighter because it’s in the arm rest of my center console. Is it possible to get a longer wire? 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Princë Akeem I’m not sure if they have a longer wire. You don’t have any 12v outlet on dash? That’s strange. Maybe you can buy one of those 12v splitter cables, they are about $6-7 on Amazon.
I purchased the 32g SIM card, class 10 TF format and inserted it in the camera and it seems to work. But after 2 minutes of driving the camera turns off ... What am I doing wrong?
I hope you format the card from the camera as the first thing. Also check even though the screen turn off recording is still in progress. The screen time on time can be changed in settings. If the camera turn off completely please check if the 12v outlet does not have a loose connection. Make sure your camera gets power. I also fount this article that help to resolve general problems. Is there something you need to do to first or it just records automatically? I put the sd card and turn it on, is that all I need to do?
feodufg3r4weozjmkdwopsqkf3 As a best practice I format the SD card from camera. Should start recording as soon as the camera gets power.
Can you use a larger space SD card
Haven't tried though. The recommended for C450 is 32GB Class 10. The C770 and C860 models are recommended to use 128GB cards.
Does it come with a suction cup mount or just the 3m adhesive mount?

will a card larger than 32G work? when purchaed this, amazon showed a 64G card as a bundle. I purchased the card.
As far as I can remember the recommended size is Class 10 32GB. However I see amazon reviews people using more than 32GB, One person claims that he/she using 128gb card on one of the reviews on Amazon on January 14, 2020.
I too got a 64G. I’m still trying to figure it out.☹️
This video is trash 🗑. It didn't show u step by step. One minute out the box next minute on the window. U can't even see all that he is doing
STAY AWAY FROM APENAN PRODUCTS Purchased a new Apeman 420D dual Dashcam and within a few days a problem started. The screen kept showing “not enough storage “, bearing in mind this was a new formatted 32gb sd card and hardly driven. Format the sd card again and seemed to start working again until the “not enough storage” appeared again. Turns out it’s a common fault after searching online. Some people have flashed the latest version on and worked again or stuck with having to format every so often which could be whilst driving when you actually need no distractions and the camera to be working fine and not checking every 2 mins.
Contacted Apeman and they got back to me and asked for the version I was running etc. after they wanted the receipt for purchase and offering to compensate me, they just disappeared and no more contact for last 2 weeks. They don’t care their products don’t work, simple
How do I get the video from the camera to my computer ?????????
I remove my microsd card and plugin to the computer. All my microsd cards came with an adapter microsd to sd. For me using windows it opens with windows media player with no issues. I use Windows movie maker to join the clips together in making some of the videos from dashcam.

What's that orange tool you used to tuck the wires in?
They are those cheap "Panel Trim Removal Tool Kit" which I normally use to lower the headliner and tuck in wires. In this car it was too easy didn't have to use much. Better to have these in case. They are like $5-6.
I just ordered this today but afterwards realized my cigarette lighter in the dash is always on. I have another in the armrest that’s tied into the ignition. Would you have had enough slack in the cable if you’d needed to take it all the way to the armrest? Not really interested in leaving it running while parked so hoping I can get it to just turn off when the car is off. Also, month and half later since you originally posted. Do you use it daily? And if so, any comments to add?

If not you can get a 12v extension kit like (Tetra-Teknica MotoBasics Series CLS-02 12V 2-Way Splitter Cigarette Lighter Male to 2 Female Extension Cord, 4 Feet, 16 Gauge Copper Wire, 15A 250V Fu www.amazon.com/dp/B06X42DLNM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_v6nsYXWybIoSs).
If not you can use a fuse box wire it.
There is also a different dash cam called A119 that has a direct wire kit, even though it takes current all time,The parking mode take a smaller current and it comes with a battery protection kit. I’m planning to get that for my personal car so that I can use the parking mode.
How can this be helpful when your head blocked the shot or your were doing stuff that was not in shot.....surely your mate could have handled the camera....rubbish
