We should use 27 or 26G needle because spinal headaches occurs in some patients due to leakage of csf fluid inside the body

We normally use an introducer needle first through which we insert the spinal needle especially when we use atraumatic fine gauge needles

There's a high rate risk of post Headche with 25G spinal needle, I always use 27G.

Currently 4 months pregnant and had this done for a cerclage and it was very painful. Although he used a local numbing to help ease the skin it took him 5-6 trys to get it right. The 4th time being the needle bent. It took a lot out of me emotionally because I knew it had to be done for my baby but I definitely couldn’t hold back the tears.
Had this for my C section but it didn't work, I ended up going under general anaesthesia after all that pain from what felt like 5 or 6 injections. 😪😪

We give spinal after local then pt is totally pain free during spinal injection and in local first prick is obv painful after that the area becomes anaesthetised

I had it 3 days ago to perform a surgery on my lower body. It didn’t feel a thing, I didn’t even know when it started and ended. All you’ll feel is the initial local anesthetic injection, after that it’s basically nothing.
I had four spinal injections ...it really doesn't feel ..

U should take bed rest ,plenty of fluids including drinks rich in caffeine or coffee u can also take some painkiller (ibuprofen)after consulting ur doctor ..

Not painful, I just had this done 3 weeks ago for my cleft lift surgery. All i felt was pressure.

@@keithsteve5671 Nope, but they put a solution in my IV, looked like a white colored drug that made me feel dizzy while I was being given the spinal anaesthesia. I felt 100% nothing after that drug entered my IV.

@@keithsteve5671 Make sure to ask the anaesthesia doctor to give you something to calm your nerves, don't worry brother its very quick and painless, count to 10 and it will be over.

Yah the 1st injection is just given to reduce your pain..it was local anaesthesia then u will be followed by spinal anaesthesia by subarachnoid block
