For some specific people, a higher difficulty IS the fun. Look at the Super Mario World kaizo hacks and how much of a community those have. I don't get it for Castlevania or SMW, but I do like difficulty hacks of Megaman Zero and ZX because the heightened difficulty of it gives me the challenge I want now that I've completed those almost entirely.
@nxgame2.092 Cause of the physics in Castlevania, it makes no sense to make something that hard when Simon can't even jump a three block wide pit unless he's on a arch.
