To get the most out of your Vicks Sweet Dreams humidifier, follow these helpful instructions.
Make sure your humidifier is on a firm, level, water resistant surface and at least six inches from the wall.
To fill, twist the cap on the bottom of the tank to the unlock position.
Fill the water tank with cool water.
Securely replace the tank cap by turning it back to the lock position and place it back on its base.
Make sure your humidifier is turned off before plugging in.
Turn the knob to the highest setting and, let it run until a comfortable humidity level has been reached.
To operate the projector, press the projector button to turn on one of three themes.
Slide the projector switch to elephant for safari theme, dolphin for sea theme, and star for starry night theme.
Each theme will rotate through three images.
To use scent pads, open the scent pad door, insert the pad, and shut the door.
For a soothing bedtime environment for your child, try the Sweet Dreams Cool Mist Humidifier.

Is it the same as the vaporizer? Does it do the same thing but this one has a lot more features?

This is a Cool Mist ultrasonic humidifier rather than a vaporizer. A vaporizer uses two carbon rods to send electricity through the water to vaporize it, while this unit uses a small vibrating plate to break the water down into a mist. I have a brand new Vicks Sweet Dreams VUL575 Humidifier and out the box it has not ever worked. From looking through videos it seems like it may be a problem with blower motor because the bubbles create inside but they do not blow out any mist. Please advise.

When the humidifier is on it’s normal that water spread everywhere and on the floor? I can’t put it on my carpet in my room as the living room is already so wet!

Water should not be spreading other than in a mist, which should mix in with the air, and not soak the floor. This only happens if the humidity around the unit is too high. Please email us at [e-mail] so we can look into this and assist you.

Can I use this model with vicks vipo steam cough supplement liquid. Can I just put some in the water directly???

Thank you for reaching out to us first. This unit cannot use the Vicks VapoSteam, as it does not have a heated medicine cup. Additionally, do not put the Vicks VapoSteam in the water, as it can damage the humidifier and will not activate as this is not a vaporizer. Bought it yesterday, filled the tank and went to change the water in the morning and….it didn’t leak but…lIs it normal for the base to fill with water after the machine has been on all night? (First time user)

We will be happy to clarify this for you. Yes, water will leave the tank, go into the base, then be turned into mist by the nebulizer (the small disk in the base) and blown out of the unit. Can it be on the floor? Or is it better to place it at a higher position? Also, the water in my city is quite hard. Shlould I use a 50/50 mixture with distilled water? Or just 100% distilled water?

Thank you for your inquiry. As long as this humidifier is placed on a flat, level surface, the unit may be placed on the floor or on an elevated surface. Additionally, you can use tap water or distilled water with this humidifier. However, if you have hard water, the unit may produce white dust while using tap water. This humidifier should always be placed on a firm, flat, waterproof surface at least four feet (1.2 m) away from bedside, 6 inches (15 cm) from the wall, and out of reach of patients, children and pets. Be sure the appliance is in a stable position and the power cord is away from heated surfaces and out of the way to prevent the humidifier from being tipped over. We hope this is helpful! Is the mist meant to be visible? We can smell the vicks but cant see any mist

Hey Haajira. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. To confirm, you should be able to see the mist produced by this humidifier. To resolve this issue, we'd recommend cleaning the nebulizer. It is advised to perform this cleaning once a week. The nebulizer, which is a round disc found in the base of the unit, vibrates at ultrasonic speeds to create mist. Over time, minerals from your water may collect on this nebulizer, which can cause it to slow to a pace that is not sufficient to create mist. Hey Diyanti. Thank you for your inquiry. As water drains from the unit into the base, air needs to enter the tank to equalize the pressure. As water is released into the base, a 'gurgling' noise can be heard as air enters the tank. This is normal for this humidifier while it is producing output. We hope you find this information helpful. I had one from Euky Bear with hot mist and vicks are poured inside the tank. I thought this one is the same but it’s cold mist and the vicks pods doesn’t do a thing! Wish i can return this
