Probably the best 30k character to never receive his own model. Great conversion for 40k of the only Marine to beat Lucius twice and not suffer the consequences.
This looks awesome! I love all the little heresy bits like the swords and the head. Even the shoulder pads to make him look like a dark fury! You nailed it man!
Stellar job. Assault intercessors are truely awesome as a basis for conversion work. Not only do they have a very dynamic pose, they are also pretty cheap on Ebay etc. If I could I would just buy 5 more squads, solely for future conversion projects.
I totally agree. The only thing I am not keen on is their one guantlet arm and the hip armour is tough to remove without leaving a mark, if that makes sense. Thank you. :)
I've seen a lot of Sharrowkyns, he's such an understated character in terms of his design and I think that makes him hard to do much with but this is BADASS

The fun thing about this conversion is this character could be around in the primaris era given we last saw him in stasis with a key component to the primaris enhancements.

Great work! Thank you for showing how you cut down the gorget. I’ve had trouble fitting older helmets onto primaris because of the higher gorget on the Mk X. I’ll try again so I can add more MkVI and VII helmets to my templars.
This has given me ideas for things I can do with the spare Shrike I have... Plus, since the generic 40k Captain with Jump Pack doesn't have an exact match in loadout for lightning claws; they can technically count as any of the three melee options. Fantastic work; eventually I'll have to give something along these lines a try.
Another great tip with the loyalty cards and the green stuff!! it seems so obvious but it never occurred to me!!! I really like these little tips and tricks you do in the process of making one of your great conversions :)

Love your Kitbashes, bringing old Sculpts back to live in the new Primaris scale is always a cool thing. If it is not already on the list, or to big of a Modell, i would like to see Bjorn the Fellhanded, as a Space Wolfes Redemptor Dreadnought😊 such an iconic Dreadnought deserves a new epic Scaling
3:20 You say Milliput is a harder putty, but it's one of the few putties that breaks down with water, so you can soften it up a lot while it's workable, which also makes it great for smooth blends like you pulled off here... 🙂 Love the finished result!
You are correct. My meaning was that when it dries, it's more of a solid piece throughout, where as Greenstuff, whilst more maluable, is very 'waxy' and it not designed to be smoothed down by sanding, if that makes sense? Thank you very mich! :)
@@WePaintMinis Gotcha, I guess I misunderstood... Yeah, Green Stuff feels more like chewing gum when I'm working it, and like soft-ish plastic once it hardens... Milliput is much more like classic potter's clay; really malleable with water, but rock-hard once it's cured. Honestly, while Green Stuff has its uses, I find Milliput to be more versatile for my experience...
Love your videos, and now that Deathwatch Captain Artemis is one of the only remaining deathwatch units, I think a lot of sad DW players would be cheered up to see you convert him to a primaris Marine sometime!

He is already on my to do list. You are right, it's a big list, but if the model presents itself as something I can do with the kits available, I will most certianly give it a go! I love looking into how I can create models and researching the best bits to use. :)
@@WePaintMinis Haha yeah I also love looking for the right bits, but I get easily overwhelmed when the project gets a bit difficult so I tend to not get very far. If I may I'd suggest maybe using the legs from Helbrecht or a BT Marshall, they are pretty close to Corswains HH mini, the problem are the kneecaps, for the torso BT Sword Brethren or something similar since the gorget is similar, but beyond that im still searching myself, since I dislike working with resin it can be a bit hard here and there, also since I realised I didn't write it in my original comment, I absolutely love your work keep it up :)

Primarisising a 30k haracter kinda feels heretical, but this is an interesting take and a really cool model :D You can actualy get Dark Fury style sholder pads and jump packs 3d printed if you or anyone else wants to make more of these at scale
That's the thing, it's all made up anyway, so go nuts. You can indeed, I am personally not a fan of 3d printed bits currently, but totally an alternative option. Thank you 😁
Hey man I love your conversions, I now it’s not a named character but can you do a Tyranic War vet that’s not an Ultra marine cuz I’m sure there are other chapters that battled the Xenos.😊
From what I know, they are all either Ultramarines or Ultramarine successors. However, I am up for breaking the mould sometimes haha. Thank you for the kind words too.
@@CPyJIb I use the highlight colour (in this case eshin grey) and mix it with the black and glaze that on the upper most surfaces. Really helps with making it look less flat. 😊
Looks cool! Though i cant help but feel like it doesnt fit primaris “standards” kayvann shrike’s jump pack was built for the lighter armour variant, the larger one seems to fit his bulk more, dont think theres a need to hide from it. Also the leg boosters are missing, i wonder wether using a jump assault body as a base may have been better. Secondly the shoulderpads end up soooo wide, i wonder wether just a thin layer of greenstuff may not have been better and still gotten the idea across? I do love the concept though
That's the beauty of converting and kitbashing you can do it whichever way you want. I don't do it to please others as there is always someone who would do it differently, which is totally fine. The thing is though, would these folks actually do it? Would you? I would love to see it. Thank you.
Whole mini looks amazing, seriously great work but I would've stayed away from the primaris jumppacks tbh, they're so ugly. The firstborn jumppacks you can get like the ones in the old assault marines or the mk4 jumppack would've looked a lot better imo (tho leaning more mk7 jumppack cos of its bulk matching primaris) Anyway, always love seeing ur stuff, keep it up.
I did think of using a first born ones, but felt they were too chunky in their own right and wasn't happy using them to fit into the primaris aesthetic. I think the Shrike is a good compromise as its no way near as big as the new Jump packs. Thank you for you opinion and for the support. 😊
