we raised feedback & they listened: the new LifeSpectrum is incorporating a lot of the feedback we have previously raised with Mother such as giving it the option to be raised and extended :) In this video I am unboxing the new light, show you different set-up options, discuss the smart plug & app, show you the pudding & ultimately give you my pros & cons about this new product.

These lights really have it all!! The settings on it and the way the app works reminds me of high tech reef aquarium lights! They're awesome and can do so much! Definitely on my list to get as I build up my Anthirium collection!

I love this channel and education you provide. As excellent as they are, these lights are not a reality for some peoples budget(Me included). If you’re handy and like a DIY, I made 6 vertices lights for less than 1 of these purchased. If you can afford these lights, you absolutely should. If not, don’t be sad. There are other options for you. 😊

💡👌 I missed some parts in the beginning, before the extension though, due cooking. I LOVE the everlasting idea❤
My lights do contain a few pure red LED as well. It seems to bring out the colour a bit more than my previous lights? This is on plants that you don’t have, like coloured philos and syngoniums for example.
I do love the look of it and the dimming function we have to save up my pennies for a long time to get one though and I agree the silver is beautiful

I have the same light too.
One thing that amazes me about this light is how well plum it is- meaning when placed on the leveled floor, it is 90 degrees straight up with no visible tilt.
Also, the plastic diffuser is shaped in such a way the light is even wider angle than the plantspectrum.
My only “gripe” about this product is when placed next to the plantspectrum it makes the plantspectrum look cheap😂

how long did you have to wait for shipping? I bought it 5 weeks ago and still waiting for it.
@@brantings I'll have go through my emails to check but I have a feeling it was just over the 6 weeks mark. I have purchased another one but am frustrated for the wait. The supposed discount has been around for a very long time and before I ordered my first one and had a question they told me the discounted price was going to be over very soon. I feel lied to which is disappointing. But I'm sure you will be happy with the product

Lol, very surprised to read some comments here. I come from a third world country that is next to China, I can buy any grow lights that I want from China with a shipping fee of $1.5 per kg to my door but I don't dare, I don't want to burn down my house. I pre-ordered 4 Lifespectrums and accessories in March and just received these lights recently from a forwarding shipping company as Mother does not ship to my country. They looks LUXURIOUS in my apartment.
And I am going to order 4 more. Yes, very expensive, but I think it is well-worth it in the long-run. It becomes cheap compared to other grow lights, I read many comments on Amazon, some people had their plugs exploded after several weeks of using.

I have 6 PlantSpectrum lights running for about 3 years now. They are great lights for growing plants requiring lower light intensities (many Aroids for instance). However, more demanding plants will need much stronger lights. The PPFD drops considerably at distances greater than 0 cm from the lights.

For myself, I can find most of what mother offers in lights that are way less expensive though. So for now, I’ll stick to what I’ve got so I can spend any extra cash on grail plants , holidays, or whatever

I don't have a Mother light yet, but I always enjoy your reviews of their products.....definitely on my wish list! This particular light really seems to have all the features a plant person could want to subtly integrate a functional light into their lifestyle!
Question for you: if you set the schedule for the light in the app, can you also turn the light on and off separately without disrupting the schedule?
P.S. in America we call it an "Allen Wrench!" 💡🔧
Thank you so much :) yes u can manually turn off the light using the little button on the switch & the schedule will just run like normal next time it’s activated :)

Awesome video. Just curious, I know it said you could hang them from the ceiling but can you hang them vertically, and not horizontally like the picture you showed?
Thanks :) not with the hanging wire set available on their website … so u’d need to get creative to hang them vertically but I love that idea :) i’ll raise it with them :)

I'm very happy to learn from you that Mother has a new vertical grow light. I love all the features that you described. However, rather than unsmartly, manually setting fixed times for on and off in the app, why don't they have an option to smartly, automatically turn on at actual sunrise and off at actual sunset that changes automatically for my location/latitude and season? Long and short days are important for some plants to know when to bloom. This can be accomplished with some smart outlets; can the light be used without the switch in the line? Love your wonderful videos!

I love this new motherlight but it’s so expensive. Luckily I was able to use Afterpay. But STILLL. Oof it was a hard one to do. I’m debating on buying a second one so I can double the light or just getting the soltech strip light for the ceiling.

Where can you buy the replacement LED? 🤔 I didn’t find it on their website. Also it’s kind of sad you can’t buy the accessories without the light (in case you would like to buy them later on).

I have a PlantSpectrum 32 but I’m sad it doesn’t come with a timer. I had to buy one smart plug but for 219€, I wish it already came with some way to schedule the light (via app or home would be nice but at least a simple timer) but okay.
Yes the smart timer is a new function for the LifeSpectrum :) wow €219 for the smart plug?! 🫣🫣 over here they are $15

The problem is that mother grow lights are extremely overpriced and relatively low PAR. I bought a few of the original ones but have been pretty unimpressed
Agree on the price, but been quite impressed with their performance for the plants I’m trying to grow :)
@@sydneyplantguy, try using them for growing caudex plants and other light and heat-loving plants. PlantSpectrum won't do the trick, then. The PPFD is simply too low at a distance...
