I feel like this list is more based on its impact on the nfl and whether there was high stakes in the game rather than how good the actual catch was.
Robel Wondwosen yeah I'm pretty sure
agreed, it just big throws in big time moemnts, #2 and #1 shouldnt even be on this list
Then why isn’t the Minnesota miracle on here
I agree alot
It’s because they have a lot of pressure and it’s hard to catch then so that’s why
Nelson agholor could’ve had like 3 plays on here but dropped them ALL
I’m Franklin 😂😂😂
Lmfaoooo you ain’t lying though
You’re so mean
Lmao tho
Especially the one against New England lol. 😂
The Dwight Clark catch is so overrated, he literally just jumped and caught the ball
thank you for saying it..i've never understood it
We got a Dallas fan here
Your moms overrated. But talented, yes she is talented.
part of the play is the throw
holy shit RIGHT!!!! dude its not even that good happens almost every week today. that santonio holmes catch should be #1
Randy Moss, Odell Beckham, and Mario Manningham have some of the most unbelievable catches in NFL history.
Santonio Holmes !
@Palmer Stewart That was more of an incredible throw than catch. But still pretty good.
Woah don’t forget Calvin. I know he made them look effortless but cmon now
Bro how about jerry rice
Megatron did too he just made it look so effortless
The Odell catch is definitely number 1. He literally caught it with 3 fingers
I do agree but I think that it’s not because he’d catch up three fingers because he caught with one hand but it’s equalized because he had to dive backwards
@@help6606 I Like That One Handed Catch By OBJ.
fr
100% Odell was one of the best Giants receivers ever
So so so true
i swear the giants probably have the craziest catches out of every franchise in the nfl
Steelers too
packers...
the giants have a ☘stuck up there ass
Yeah Odell and David Tryee helmet catch
They def do. Giants WRs have a pention for making amazing catches. Roger Lewis' catch alone was incredibly underrated on this list
I’m a Niners fan and I like that they have Clark’s catch number 2 but this should be called most iconic catches.
Faxts
Agreed, also a Niners fan it was not about how good a catch it was about ending an empire
Thomas Swan hey dumbass it’s about the situation they were in... Gronk or Olsen would not have clutched up and neither would any qb nowadays either
No it’s not cause the Minnesota miracle is not on here
Always Meepin’ nope that shit was garbage cuz they ain’t win shit after
Its literally 99 catches thats better than The Catch #2.
Do you mean #2 on the list or "The Catch #2" because is SF we have 2 of "The Catch" and they are both cemented in NFL history. Lmao
TheHustler probably the first one
The catch was honestly a mediocre catch at best almost every receiver in the league now could make that catch 9/10
"The Catch 3" is overrated and it seems clunky to assign such a grand title to that play. Nice play, just not something I would dub that title or probably put on this list.
@@zevonsage8547 Young fans are so clueless about NFL history. Come back when you realize the importance of the catch...
I would’ve put odell’s as number one, and tyree at number two. Those damn giants.
I feel like that Julio Jones catch is kinda underrated
Yeah it was forgotten because of how the SB went.
Fax
Fr
Very
Very underrated and that catch was great
Where’s the Hopkins catch that he put through his leg?.... oh right
Tru Reid the catch that never was
i think that it had to count a a catch
@NASCARGamer489 there's no holding on defense 🤣
Techit yes there Is
that play didn't count because he pushed the db off so it was a busted play
9:03 would of been incomplete if it were madden.
Tell me about it. That same thing happened to me like 10 straight times
Copper Almazan yeah. I’m madden mobile, you need 4 feet in bounds apperantly.
@@GeorgiaGray3 or your player takes giant steps
Have*
Can someone explain to me how that’s a catch he only got one leg down I thought u needed 2
All right it’s time to stop ranking the “best plays” by importance and more by the impressiveness and the skill required to make the play
Right. The Greg Clark catch was a regular catch. I get the significance but it was an ordinary catch
Riley Escobar yeah but some guys aren’t clutch enough to make that catch and some qbs can’t make that throw either with three guys rushing
@@easystreet2689 not about the throw at all
They have lots of skill
Thank you @Jack Strand
2:28 that dude with the hat running away from him terrified has me dying
Same 😂😂😭😭
I get goosebumps every time I see that play by David Tyree in the super bowl. There's no way Eli was supposed to make that throw. He was sacked but somehow got loose! Still amazing after all these years!
God put Eli Manning on this planet to thwart Brady. Too bad he only did it twice. I hope the seven (in all likelihood, it will be 8) rings Brady has is worth selling his soul to the devil and spending eternal torment....nah. Satan wants Brady down there to coach him on his QB skills for the annual Purgatory Bowl he has facing god and the Angel. "Angels vs Demons MMMVIII"
Shush you!!
So did Don Shula, and all the former players, on the '72 Dolphins
The luckiest busted play in SB history
9 years old gonna be like “Why isn’t Odell #1?”
Omni Pepper which one? 😂 jk I’m messing with ya
Marvin Harrison has the best catches of any receiver I’ve sever seen
Jalen Green 😂
Omni Pepper
No 9 year olds were old enough to see that catch. They would have been 4
American Sports Fan it’s a joke bro. Even if I was completely serious it would still make sense. I wasn’t born when a bunch of these catches were made and I still agree with their rankings. Same thing applies to 9 year olds
Eli manning have litterally thrown 7% of the top 100 catches
His greatness is a mystery
He is the definition of Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass
So 7 of them
Wilder throws leads to wilder catches (and plenty of interceptions).
I'm Patrick Mahomets cousin
I’m surprised Stefan diggs catch wasn’t on here
For real how does that not make the list?!
Because the catch was easy
Patrick Boyce Dwight Clark catch was easy, all he did was jump up in the air and got it, also no one was near him. The Franco Harris catch literally deflected right into his hands. Stefan diggs was iconic not challenging true, but the same could go for the others.
Chris Tucker fair enough
Chris Tucker eh the franco harris was at his ankles and came pretty fast. Heads up play
Wow #12 was probably one of the most impressive things ive seen. The level of agility and concentration mixed in with boldness is unbelievable.
Eli is one of the most underrated QBs of all-time. He was so clutch when had to be. Mediocre when it didn't matter, but in a high pressure spot in a big game, he was one of the best!
there's never "times when it didn't matter". he may have been better in the most important situations but all plays MATTER. imagine if he was that good 100% of the time. he'd never even be in game losing situations. you can't say a qb is underrated because of 5% of their plays
He could be awful at times or all time clutch
@@Arjun---- black plays matter
Should do the top 100 greatest moments in NFL history
Something like that, this seems more like a popularity poll than a ranking of skilled catches.
Were so close to having the exact same profile pic
The Minnesota miracle whould be number 1
@@Brody-r3t lol no it wouldnt
@@Brody-r3t Helmet catch, Also how the Seahawks were actually still able to be in the Superbowl with Kearse's catch, Then leading to Malcom Bulter's interception to win that game? The Vikings didn't even get into the Superbowl that year. Stupid.
Giants own 30% of the NFL's top 10 catches in NFL history
Benny Wave weird since their team is bad
@@thefuture_minkah5585 they used to be really good you know that right?
Just ask tom brady
Jorgie847 I mean the Steelers aren’t that much better either

2:44 that scream and agony of being a Vikings fan 😂😂
Me every time I watch a Vikings game.
The Cardinals lost the first round pick by winning the game on that play and knocking the Vikings out of the playoffs
I am so glad I wasn't alive to see this
I'm surprised that Cole Beasley's behind the back catch when he was a cowboy wasn't on this list, that was a pretty impressive catch
I said the same thing, meanwhile you have the #2 catch in here 🤦🏼♂️
that little wes welker Julian edleman wanna be cooper Kupp wanna be
12:17
I still don't understand how defensive pass interference was called on this play, not offensive. Richardson was pulling his helmet the other way, making a play on the ball almost impossible.
It's the CheatHacks in Seattle, are you REALLY surprised???
True Seahawks curse
@Bryon Rogers U realize offsetting penalties means replay the down? Considering it's 4th down and it's the playoffs yes it matters
I watched this play live, that was the first thing I saw. I didn't even realize he made the catch Al Michaels and Cris Colinsworth (🤡) started freaking out
#65 is #1 in my book. Do yourself a favor and watch Brandon Lloyd top catches for his career, man had some of the most underrated catches in nfl history
Almighty Sosa300 agreed
They were in garbage niner teams so there was no significance. Loved watching him though
Brady at his own 40 staring at double coverage: "Should I do it, should I not do it? Aw why not..."
That game vs Miami was the best game of his career. 21 completions, 4 incomplete, 6 TDs, 350 yards, 158.3 rtg
Tazer183 i would disagree i think the best game of his career is probably one of the superbowls he won jusg because the stakes
Lmao not to mention it was a shitty throw. Like always
Tazer nah maybe the comeback against the falcons
@@devonschnell9328 found the butthurt dickhead
Doug Baldwin looks like he’s wearing a sweatshirt while playing
I'm upset that they didn't have doug Baldwin's amazing one handed against the niners where he literally extended everything in his body to catch it
@@calebbozarth7391 Unfortunately there are SO many great catches over the years that its hard to find the actual best from like 100-30. Pick nearly any catch that's makes people go "WHAT!?" and you can place it in that range.

If replay was around since the NFL’s inception, the fate of a lot of teams would be so totally different.
#9 @ 20:20
As a Seahawks fan, that catch by Kearse was so unbelievable and jaw-dropping. It was almost as if you could feel the energy of Seattle jumping up and down with excitement. We were about to win two consecutive Super Bowls in a row...
...then it was all for nothing. 2nd & Goal. Less than a minute on the clock. We have one of the greatest running backs of all time, and we decide to PASS the ball. Intercepted.
The most beautiful and flawless pane of glass ever made was dropped, and for absolutely no reason.
What a wild game.
Hee hee hee!! Sweet!!! Malcolm Butler pick at goal line, we win!!
Glad it broke
Eli Manning with THREE entries in the TOP TEN, GOATED 🙌🏾‼️
did he make the catches, though?
All of them were the luckiest holding a## catches
1:38 honestly one of the craziest catches I've ever seen
Interceptions are catches too... Def would be a handful of those on this list if they were included
Yeah
gchillz 11 polamalu should be on here at least twice
Im a seahawks fan so, Seahawks vs 49ers NFC championship. Richard Sherman swats the ball, gets picked off by Malcom Butler (Low key top 10)
Yes I can easily name 3 interceptions better than some of the catches on here
gchillz 11 like the dolphins player a couple of years ago over megatron one handed, always forget his name
I can't beleive they forgot to put John Stallworth's Superbowl winning over the shoulder catch on the list. Huge oversight!
Odell’s catch is by far the greatest catch in history
Naw he used his hand yo.
Try catching it with your feet like in number 78.
Only play in this video you see a foot catch.
Seen a bunch of one handed catches in this video only one feet catch....
Definitely the most difficult and the "WOW" factor!
Even now it still seems like we didn't appreciate how routinely Calvin Johnson beat Triple Coverage
Take a shot for every “what a catch”
I would be dead
Kirby DownB 100 shots
@@calem6651 more
@Shea Patel yea it was overrated as heck
Someone named Jeff is living in my house, now.
Where is the Sanchez pass to Santonio Holmes in the corner of the end zone
It’s #4
“Sanchez”. Maybe you’re talking about something else but I believe it’s Rothlesburger( can’t spell)
Omni Pepper he’s talking about the catch in the 2010 divisional, Jets vs Patriots
Matt TH oh okay, that’s what I thought
That was a great catch. I also think Brent Grimes’ interception should have been on here
I still can't believe how amazing that santonio holmes td catch in the super bowl was. And such an amazing throw too...absolutely crazy.
Happy I was old enough to remember it but I always wanted Larry to win him one man
@@2kvids965 I am 100% with you on that. I always liked that cardinals team. Really wanted to see Larry get one and Kurt Warner win it in his career revival.
@@tylerbogaard375 You & 2k Vids Are Awesome 😎 As Cool 🆒 Men.
The catch is amazing but ive always been dumbfounded by that throw. The margin for error on that throw is literally centimeters
Phenomenal compilation. Perfect blend of amazing catches and historic ones. I'm glad they included older, iconic catches because those were BAREHANDED. Surprised Raymond Berry didn't have one on here and couldn't tell if one of them was Don Hutson, the best there ever was.
They left out John Jefferson, somehow.
R.I.P Franco Harris that is a play will never be replicated like that again in nfl history
16:53 the ball hit him in the facemask😂😂
You right lol
As we all predicted, Oronde Gadsden is on here twice
Fitz has alot more crazy catches then some of these on this list
There are some absolute gems in here but come on man!! That OBJ catch is the greatest grab and I don’t think it’s close
Gotta update this with the diving catch Allen Robinson made against the Lions last season. One of the most unbelievable catches I've seen
Oronde Gadsden: the most random player with two catches in this list.
80 grade name too.
My friends and I used to jokingly imitate Oronde Gadsden by attempting one handed stab type catches over the middle. As a Bills fan, I had a lot of respect for Gadsden, more than I had for most other Dolphins at the time.
you’re telling me Dwight Clark just jumping 15 inches off the ground to catch a ball is better then Odell Beckham literally 1-handing a ball while falling with pass interference?
Zenix II yes everytime especially since Odell didn’t clutch it during a playoff game and his qb wasn’t being rushed by 3 guys
When?
Easy Street yeah but that has nothing to do with the catch...
Nah, the list isn't best catches or else OBJ's one handed catch is the best. Hands down the best catch in the history of the NFL.
There’s a reason Dwight Clark’s is called THE CATCH
*A Lot Of These So Called “Easy” Catches Are On Here Because Of The “Situation”, Not So Much The “Difficulty”*
#LaughWithLorenzo) Exactly
Smh and people say The Catch wasn’t big
Then this list shouldn’t be called the best catches, it should be the most iconic catches. “The Catch” or Immaculate Reception aren’t the most physically demanding or greatest show of talent, they’re amazing plays that are defined by the situation and it’s specific impact.
*OK*
Loved watching this. If only Tyrone Prothro had made his catch in the league instead of at Alabama he could have cracked the top 10. Best catch I've ever seen.
That catch Calvin Johnson made in college was his best ever too. Which is saying something since he's one of the best WRs ever.
The amount of fearlessness it would take to completely open your body coming across the middle in the NFL would be insane
A little disappointed Larry Fitzgerald doesn't have more on here.
Yeah he got easy 3 more catches which were better than his one on 93
That’s what I was thinking.... they did him dirty.
Cris Carter as well.
He should have at least 3 or 4 on here from his 2008 playoff run alone, he was insane that year
Where’s the Dez Bryant catch?
Oh wait
I hate you
Lol
I never knew Tom Brady and randy moss played together that is like the unstoppable duo
Where have you been? Moss played for the Patriots from 2007-2010. Had an NFL record 23 TDs in 1 season.

I know I was wondering why he thought it was overrated
R u sped?
These are just like the "most hyped up and important." If it was really the best ones, my man Odell would be number 1
Kevin Pepin nah I don’t think Odell could clutch up with a catch in the last minute of a Super Bowl/playoff game for the win
@@easystreet2689 as he said the catches were off of like most imortant if it was just catches period odell should be number 1
Mario Mannigham's catch in the Super Bowl is the best catch I've ever seen. The others before that were just lucky bounces. Great catches, but more luck than skill.
12:17 he clearly face masked the lions player covering him
And also the flag was on defense pass interference like what the?
yeah i agree he definitley face masked him
I’m a Seahawks fan and I agree
The Manatee i got super mad after watching that game because i’m a lions fan
Me too
It's the CheatHacks, they ALWAYS get beneficial phantom calls. Fail Mary immediately comes to mind as an additional example.
I know that the Immaculate Reception and The Catch are iconic, but David Tyree’s catch stopped a perfect season.
#77 was so incredible that’s like so crazy
Sooooo....wheres Brandon Lloyd's left handed catch when he literally just held it before going out of bounds?
#2 was the easiest catch 🤦🏾♂️
Bro I’m a Dallas fan but that guy is 5 feet in the air if you didn’t see
You try doing it
That catch (literally named THE CATCH) started a dynasty that became the first to win 5 superbowls how about you know what the catch does for nfl history before saying anything about it

@@joramusic604 bruh shut up you act like it’s hard I’ve done that plenty of times before.
There's a lot that could have made this list. At first, I was super upset that Helmet Catch was no. 3, but after realizing the two plays ahead of it were The Catch and The Immaculate Reception, I was better.
the catches are one thing but let's also appreciate a lot of these QB's throwing arm
Coming to the top 5 I was thinking “where’s the immaculate reception” and then saw it was number 1. How could it not be?
It shouldnt be lol
@@justawhiteguywitharocketla590 In my opinion it should be number one not just because of the catch but also because of the circumstances, that game where he caught it was the AFC Championship and after Pittsburgh won the AFC championship they would go on to win the super bowl. So if Franco Harris would never have caught that ball the Steelers would never have won the super bowl.
It shouldn’t even be top 10.
Wasn't the AFC championship game.Did not go to the Super Bowl.Dolphin's undefeated season.Lost to the Dolphins in Pittsburgh. Not a Dolphins fan,but somebody trying to steal an undefeated season away would piss me off.
@@thinincrispy6172 Not even close dude. They went on to lose the following game vs the Dolphins. The Catch is #1. The 49ers went on to win the Super Bowl and it was the beginning of a dynasty. This list is tainted.

I knew what number #1 was going to be. It definitely deserves the top spot
Number 42, a sad reminder of how time flies. I think that game was 1974 or 75. My Father and I watched the game on TV. We played catch with a Nerf Football in the house while Mom was out shopping. Pops is gone now but the many memories remain.
And he pushed the defender down. OPI, shouldn't have counted.😠
Love these videos, kinda funny how many of these wouldn't be catches anymore
Odell has the best catch on here according to their list. The final for are all Super Bowl/situation plays.
#3 would have been called a sack immediately in today’s NFL
That Julio Jones catch being at 20 is criminal
Fun fact: That game where Dwight Clark made "the catch", a 4-year old Tom Brady was there.
