Great review! You absolutely sold me on the V4. I definitely agree it's the nicer lifestyle purpose shoe. I went with "Core Grey" as I loved the simplicity as well as the grey mesh as opposed to white, easier to keep clean. V6 is a step in the right direction, but as you stated it's more sporty and a bit less casual looking, agree 💯! I can see me buying both eventually 😂

Thanks for the video … it answered all my questions in detail. I went to store yesterday to try on the V6 and it wasn’t for me smh. Even the guy that work at the store went into detail about how NB approached this model as a “corrective shoe” and emphasized it motion control (ENCAP) with this model. It didn’t have that 990 vibe to it , so I just ordered the V4 👟📦📭

Im going to get my first NB 990 ever and you narrowed down to v4 and v3. I heard someone else say the v5 kind of hurt your big toe because of it being shorter I would appreciate your input thanks. Great video it really did help me make my mind up I went for the v6 beig its newer but I was hesitant on the lifestyle aspect but I think yiou nailed it when you said v4 look like a lifestayle more so than the v6.
I’m happy for you for getting a pair! I’ve worn a 990v5 almost everyday for 2 years and never had any big toe issues. The v6 and the v4 are both perfect sneakers in their own way. Enjoy the 990!
Comfort is my top criteria and the 990v6 is more comfortable than the v4. I still think Ultraboosts 1.0s are the most comfortable sneaker ever, but in terms of New Balance the 990v6 is really the best balance of comfort and looks. They're hard as hell to clean because there are so many different panels and materials but ultimately comfort is confidence.
V5 ich much better
I actually bought a pair of UB1's about 6 months ago and they were too tight on the top of my foot and I was gutted cause I was wanting them for a long time. I then ordered half a size up and they looked like boats and every time I walked, the plastic on the sides would rub on the inside of my foot. Safe to say neither of them were wearable. V6 on the other hand are just so comfortable!
The combo of comfort with stability is more important for me.

I wanted to buy the V3 but there are no sizes left. Does anyone know if they will be restocked this year? If I have no choice I'll go for the V4s as a lifestyle shoe.

You might be able to find the v3 at another retailer (I’ve seen a few pairs at foot locker recently). I don’t think new balance will be restocking the v3. You can’t go wrong with the v4!
I find the v5 more comfortable than the v6, I haven't had enough foot time with the v4 to make a judgement. For me, the v6 is too sporty for it to be versatile enough for day-to-day. You can wear v3, 4 and 5 with just about anything. Was disappointed overall with the v6.
Once you break in the V5 they get so comfortable. I’ve been wearing my V6 and V4 a lot recently and love them both. I totally agree that the v6 isn’t the best looking lifestyle compared to the other models. What makes the V6 appealing to me is the collabs and colorways

Hi Sam Davld again finaly i find 990v6 11d and i buy it. My regular size 11 but İt is litle bit big for me maybe 10.5 is beter for me but icant find. Here is my guestion. My sun going to italy and i found 993 grey and 990v4 grey and im going to buy one. İ put on 990v5 11 d and my toe touch the shose litle bit some peaple said v5 is litle bıt smal than v4 and v3.İ now v3 11 is porfect for me when i was tried. Which size shoud i buy 993 or 990v4. İ am a fraid 11.5 is to big for me i now it is very complicaded guestion but you have all 990 models and 993. Wich size shoud i buy and which model you prefer 993. Or 990v4. For both the v4 and the 993 I would get your regular size. I personally prefer the 990v4 over the 993 but both are amazing sneakers. Just go for your regular size and they will fit great. Hope this helps!

I wear the same size in vans that I do in 990v4’s so I’d say they are the same!

For the most part they do. However for the V6 I think it fits a little longer so I usually go down a half size in the V6 but you can also go true to size if you want some extra room

There is a shoe more comfortable than the V6…..The V5. The 6 is sportier and more comfortable for an actual run 🏃♂️ but walking all day long casually - The V5 is like walking on pillows while the V6 has a sporty squish bounce
I’m going to have to agree with you. I like the stability and the all day comfort in the v5 as supposed to all that pillow feel in the v6. Both are super comfortable though!
And between the v4 and the 993?

I think all 990s have similar breathability. A wider toe box in my opinion is on the v4. You can also order a wider width on new balances website in most 990s

any 990 would be great but if they are not available for you then you could look at the 9060, 1906, or the 574

Hey David! I have a few pairs of the 990v6. I wear a size 10 shoe and I get my 990v6s in a size 10 and I have some room in the shoe. I have one pair that is a half size down and it fits great but is a little snug. So if you would like some extra room in your 990v6 I would get your regular size 11. but if you want it more tight fitting go a half size down.The 990v6 is a little bit longer than the 990v4 but I prefer to get the same size in both which is my regular size 10. I hope this helps!

Because you showing us in vıdeo side buy side v6 and v4. The v6 is long. for the same size 11.5 in v4
I would get your normal size in the 990v4. If you want a tighter feel for the 990v6 go a half size down. If you are okay with some room in the toe area in the 990v6 get your regular size, same as 990v4
V4 wins BUT nothing beats the Nike Zoom Vomero 5s in terms of price and comfort
