  • During the Met broadcast of Turandot (with Nilsson, Corelli, Albanese and Flagello) on February 24, 1962, the creator of Turandot, Rosa Raisa was interviewed by John Gutman, assisted by pianist Jan Behr. She settles, once and for all, the pronunciation of the title of the opera: tu-ran-DOE (without "t").
