- i sold the wr450f :( but good news i bought a 2015 ktm 300 exc 2 stroke monster!
first ride feeling out the new bike and all i can say is wow! cant wait to see what sorta trouble i can get into with this machine.
and sorry to all of you that only came here for that sweet sweet thumping 450 note. hopefully the 300 can satisfy that itch

HA HA HA, Not wet enough to be midwest, lol. The later model Wr's have the same throttle response as the YZ's VERY snappy, You could have just upgraded...

I had a '15 250SX. Wasn't a fan of it tbh. Bought a '21 250EXC. LOVE IT.
No vibrations, better suspension, TPI, good fuel range.
If you stick with the 2t - I'd suggest looking to get a '17+ model.
I'm coming from a thick girl wr so anything is a good upgrade for me. Il run this 300 for a while. I don't need the flashiest gear. I do want to try and do an event of some kind this year now I have the 300

They are much lighter to ride and brake well better than my crf450x. Tendency to fowl plugs , keep a plug and the slim line flat tool in your back pack. Hahah your mate laughing when your seat bolt fell out.
Where about was this ride. I normally do the hills but to trip to manjimup for a Forrest ride. Much cooler than Perth riding atm 😁
I've quickly learnt I need to carry way more parts and tools compared to the trusty wr450. This was just out at the jarrahdale/blue rock area.
