    Got the Vintage. And love it. But my bridge pickup broke and I had to replace it. Now its a bit hotter but sounds absolutely killer! Very playable guitar, love the Vintage brand. And way to go on this demo. Very down to earth and accessible. Well done.

    I have 4 Vintage guitars and they are all excellent for the money, the V52 has an Alder body, a very nice (long lasting)Hardwood for making guitars, the Squire has a Pine body, a very nice Softwood for making rabbit hutches or picnic tables 🤔

      @@spacemonkey59 I can understand why you have an aversion to pine, but in actual fact many of the original Fender Teles were made from pine. Fender USA still offers roasted pine body options on their Pro II Telecasters too

      My pine Telecaster is the most resonant electric I have ever owned. I had an Alder Tele a few years ago; not as good IMO. Great that we have choices.

    They sound identical. A Tele is gonna do the Tele things. But the compensated saddles are a nice feature on the Vintage. I own the CV Tele and upgraded the saddles with Gotoh compensated brass ones. Looks more vintage correct and the intonation is more accurate.

    In this video - the Squier sounded better to my ears. More sustain and more of that Tele mojo. The Vintage sounded more muddy and possibly higher output.

      Not overly helpful but *some* Fender necks are interchangable with some Squire bodies, but not all of them.

    Swap the pickup of the vintage to an American standard telecaster pickup and that guitar will sound better than the American Telecaster, I HAVE DONE THE COMPARISON BY MYSELF, my friend came to the same conclusion🤣

  • @cpamiseso
    @cpamiseso Рік тому +2

    The V52 bridge pickup is kind of warmer so its middle position isn't as distinctive as CV, because CV has its neck pickup very warm and its bridge pickup very trebley. When overdriven, the CV has more bark and bites due to its more highs/chimes compared to V52. But it's not something EQ sections can't work out.

  • @jamesdykes517

    Vintage sounds a little warmer until the bridge which seems brighter with that classic Tele twang. Squier sounded smoother distorted. Squier seems like it has a lighter paint job with the grain popping through.
