Hey Mike! I came across your videos of the Diana v2. I am thinking on getting a new set and the Diana v2 are really tempting, I am kind of worried about the comfort thought. If you have tried the hd800s, how do they compare? I was also wondering, how hard is it to get the best out of the headphones? I don't have a desktop amp currently, I sold it and Im using the btr7 but I am thinking on allocating about 700 into the dac and amp.

@donniedarko5529 I have the HD800. Sound wise I feel Diana (any version) is far superior than HD800. Comfort they are same for me. Diana has very light clamping force which makes them very comfortable. You do NEED an amp to power Diana (any version). Fiio BTR7 will not provide the fidelity Diana can offer. For budget amp that can power Diana, the new Woo Audio TUBE mini ($499). I work for Woo Audio for my day job and I'm using TUBE mini with Diana. BTW, a new Diana MR is coming in 2 weeks. Stay subscribed for my video. :)

@@HiFiInsider mike, I had one more question, I don't really plan on goiing higher than the hd800s and diana v2, do I gain a lot by going for the wa7 instead of the mini tube amp. The mini would be great cause im on a budget and becauseI could take that on flights, to school and work. But I dont want to have the regret of not going for the wa7. I would appreciate any thoughts

@@donniedarko5529 you originally said budget was $700 so I recommended TUBE mini but if you can move up to $800, WA7 is a better sounding system by a wide margin.

@@HiFiInsider thanks! I mean its difficult to set a specific budget haha but the wa7 second gen I think it is the one around 800 right now and it looks amazing. I might go for that one

Can you review the AKG K371? Very low price but honestly they sound extremely good, sometimes I prefer them to my HD 650

I am eyeing the AKG N5005, they are 80% off on AKG online store.

I don't recommend 3td part ear pads because it can negatively affect the sound. Buy original when possible, 3rd party only if original are no longer available. my 2 cents....

do you think 300 dollars for earpads is reasonable.

considering the ease of installation, sound improvements and material quality, yes. Check out my HD800 ear pads video, it was a PITA to install.

I'd rather get my bass from the driver itself.
