Make sure you do this only if you have a waffle maker that does not have the coils exposed between the top and bottom plates. Any water contact will damage it.

I tried unscrewing. But the heating element is attached to waffle plates as well. It’s like going down a wormhole. This method worked for me. Boiling water. Turn on maker. Wait til water boils. Unplug maker. Carefully use paper towel with a kitchen towel knife. Careful not to scratch Teflon. Wallah. Pearl sugar starts coming out.

The best way to clean it is doing this with a little less water, but then adding waffle batter and letting it cook just a little under the time that you usually do for a waffle. If done right, the water breaks down the sugar and the waffle absorbs the water with the sugar. It will come out whole but tear like wet toilet paper. Use a dry paint brush to brush out any leftover waffle pieces

@@DarkGaming._ that’s the commercial version. The one that I have is the Waring Pro, which has been discontinued and was about $100 when I bought it.

I think it is not iron but it is just a nonstick material? Iron is more rough than nonstick.

من الأفضل وضعها في وعاء مليء بالماء الساخن بدلاً من هذه الطريقة !

@@CookWithLeowell you can always use a screwdriver and then dish was them. Then screw them back in
The sandwich makers and foreman’s of old def featured a better way of doing it, idk these new waffle makers didn’t do that
