Right On Randy! 🙌 I know you’ve used these saws a long time. I thought you’d appreciate this episode. Yeah Ty has easy access to those great saws. Time for a real visit with him in Japan!
I definitely need one of those Japanese flush cut saws, matter of fact I've had one in my cart at one of the discount sites for a while so when I get around to placing an order it's there. That PVC saw was pretty impressive, they seem to have the teeth just perfect for that type of work.
Wow, this was a great demo, Jon. Love the blade removal and attachment of the Kataba saws. Smart. Agreed about the flush cut task, I think that’s when I see these types of saws used most often. Why, Ty at the end practically making veneers of that board! Insane. +1 on the. 🍿 popper, plz.
Awesome Episode! Man you have a great collection... I enjoyed seeing and learning.. I have a couple and enjoy using them.... used the one you called ryob#$%%!^ something today..😊 gooder than good stuff! Thanks for sharing mr. Jon
Right On Big Vic! 🙌 I had fun putting this video together. Lots to cover talking about saws. Had to write a few things down as to not forget to include them. Hope you’re doing great! 👍
Thanks Jon, great overview, I've owned Silky saws for years now and the quality is excellent, I also have some of the traditional carpentry saws but I like to have the choice of both Western & Japanese to use ! I'll be interested to hear your observations in comparing the Katanaboy and the Two hand bucking saw, I have my grandfathers two hand saw to restore but my usual saw for limb cutting is a Silky Sugowaza with coarse teeth it's a beaut !
Right On! 🙌 I do love all types of saws as well! That’s cool you have been using the Silky saws. I really like them. I do like that big bucking saw. Those saws are a whole rabbit hole to go down. So much to know about sharpening. I’m excited to make the video comparing the two. 🙌 Hope you’re doing great!
Amazing video, thank you for the great overview and especially showing us historical saws too.
Awesome Jon, I love using Japanese Saws. Great having Tye show off his saws. Enjoyed and thanks for sharing.

Oh so that's why the azebiki are shaped like that.
Those are pretty cool! I don’t own one yet but now I need to get one! 🙌
Wow you had picture with Ustad Zakir Hussain....
Zakir-Ji is one of the all time greats! 🙌
This can't be real, it's all CGI.
Yes my workshop got swept into a black hole about week ago and my cat just returned with this footage that she recovered from the aliens 👽
