Vhagar is a she, the queen of dragons, probably the largest GoT dragon alive that we will ever see on screen. She's one of the 3 dragons(alongside Meraxes and Balerion) and the only one left alive that helped Aegon conquered Westeros 300 years ago before this show took place.
It actually wasn’t just Harwin that died in the fire, Lyonel, his father, died as well. That was (probably) the body they showed on the stretcher that the soldiers were carrying out at the end.
couple of info about this ep, when the king said he got his father nose ( house strong are knowing for having a DISTINCTIVE noses) vhagar is the oldest and biggest dragon she was one of the 3 dragons in aegon conquest, in westeros religion ( the fight of the seven stranger is the god of death ) when harwin told her I'll be a stranger when we meet again its a subtle way to say I'll be dead, alicent kids are always wearing green I hate how they cut the scene where daemon was hugging and comforting his daughters it's like they just want to show his bad side

@@danielruiz8259 that aegon scene was prettt important, establishes aegon, his frat boy just wanna have fun mentality, showing he doesn’t want to challenge rheanyra and Alicent forcing this into him.
Theories i picked up this week: 1.) Dreamfyre, the dragon Aemond saw in the dragonpit that also burned him is the mother of Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion (Dany’s dragons). 2.) Helaena is a prophetic dreamer like her ancestor Daenys who foresaw the Doom of Valyria. 3.) Larys is a warg like Bran who instead uses the rats in the castle to spy on people esp the King.
Dragons actually essentially never stop growing. That's why the older, the bigger. It's not once a dragon is fully grown, it will only obey one master. It's when a dragon fully binds to a person, then it won't take commands from another.
They were both on baby no.3. The 4 dragons was just saying Daimons family had 4 people but only 3 dragon riders. The one daughters dragon didn't hatch. (The girl at the fireplace). Hopefully the next kid would, making 4 dragonriders.
@@MrFredstt her design was obvious, and Viserys knew it after he fired Otto as his Hand, but to him, Alicent is just a duty of his crown, and Aemma was the love of his life
I observed that Rhaenyra has a fair love for her children and Alicent is portrayed as a woman devoted to duty. Love and duty are the opposite force in GoT
"Love is the death of duty" as Maester Aemon Targaryen Of The Night's Watch once said. All the stories culminate to these two essential themes: Jaime tried to kill Bran because he loved his sister, Jon Snow forced to choose between his honor as a Night's Watchman or his love for Robb Stark as his brother, Robb Stark screwing over Lord Walder Frey for marrying a foreign woman put of love and having dire consequences to his tale. Even the tale of The Last Hero sacrificing his beloved by tempering a burning blade into her heart to save the world from endless winter night. I love that GRRM instilled that in all the stories of the books and it jumped into the TV adaptations as well.
@@rahjeel Alicent chose duty, which involved seducing the king dowager. This is of course a sacrifice for the sake of the family, but I would not romanticize it. You have chosen examples that support your position, but in the Game of Thrones, not everything is so simple. Who determines our duty and why is it more important than love? Duty led Ned Stark to a senseless death, not love. For the love of his family, he could have been smarter, but duty was more important and he put himself and his entire family at risk and lost his head.
Rhaenyra's words have zero value, she's literally just squeezing babies now(A thing that she views as beneath her. The lords of the kingdom don't like her, her authority can be easy overrule by the queen. I expect her to be a boss, but she's all talk.).
The training yard scene is my favorite part of this episode. Ser Criston masterfully baited Ser Harwin. Notice that earlier in the scene he looked at the ramparts and saw that the King is there. So he used this opportunity to bait Ser Harwin, and Ser Harwin being all muscle without brains took the bait. If he didn't assault Ser Criston, he wouldn't have had to go to Harrenhal and get killed.
masterfully lmao, literally everyone in the realm knows about it, viserys was there but couldn't careless about the "bastard" thing. you're acting as if criston is a master manipulator 😂

He's a beast! He's even more of a beast in the books though. In the books he went up against Harwin in a couple different tournament melees and he beat him every time. The last time they fought criston f***** him up pretty bad, he shattered harwins collar bone & his arm. From then on he was known as Harwin "broken bones" strong.
Daemon didn’t tell laena she overheard the conversation lol you see her get up as daemon is talking to the dude and if you look back it look like he nods no about cutting her open when asked but like she said previously she wants a dragon rider death.
Just one thing, Alicent never slept with the King until they were married. What Alicent did was offer Viserys comfort. She took him through his grief by being a friend and close confidant, which is what he needed at the time.
He is crying because Rhaenyra left, but that isAemma’s ring, can you imagine this guy so in love with his dead wife, that he understands that he murdered, ever doing anything to hurt her grandchildren?
Miguel Sapochnik said that this whole episode was meant to feel like another pilot for the show and DAMN he was right! I am going to miss the old cast but the new cast is just as amazing. And this whole episode reinforces my belief that hereditary hierarchies cause 90% more harm than good to both “royal” families and the societies they are supposed to rule. Also as sad as it was I would’ve made the same choice as Laena made, not only is it a quick death but I would rather have it be said that it took a dragon incinerating me to kill me.
It's funny how Alicent always claims to stand on what's right and pure but trusted someone who snitched on his family and her former friend. So dumb lol!
She talks alot about DECENCY when it comes to Rhaenyra yet she went behind her back to get with her father after her mother and brother died and doesn't mind trash Cole that killed an Innocent man ... Do I smell hypocrisy???
Fun fact! At the Small Council they were discussing Lord Grover Tully of Riverrun, ancestor of Catelyn, Edmure, and the Blackfish. Its fun and interesting to note the names of Lord Grover's grandson, Elmo Tully, and Elmo's sons, Oscar and Kermit. They are Lord George R.R. Martin's ode to Sesame Street and the Muppets.
He is a LOSER. He was a sperm donor with zero legal rights. Fathered 3 bastards, cant even publicly show his fatherhood, had no clue how nasty his brother is, and end up getting deleted in his own castle
Laena heard Daemon and the surgeon talking about what to do. The fact that the baby wouldn't come, and that it was most likely not going to survive is what drove Laena to head to Vhagar. In the books, she gave birth but the child was misshapen and did not survive. Laena was dying and went to Vhagar, not to be burned, but to have one last ride. But she collapsed and died before she could reach her. So sad. I feel like the show did Harwin so wrong. He played a larger part in the story than what they showed us. He goes to Driftmark with Rhaenyra for Laena's funeral. He was there longer. Good daddies just don't survive long in Westeros.
I dont understand why alicent is so salty at Rhaenyra to begin with. like Ma'am you and your father maneuvered yourself into the situation as queen 6 months after your best friend's mom died. Knew she was upset and grieving told her absolutely nothing about you "visiting" her dad yet she gets pissed because rhaenyra went out with daemon because she's salty she can't do whatever she wants because her father put her in that position. Not to mention her father also wanted Rhaenyra as heir b4 all the bullshit because he didnt want daemon to be heir. Roshi is right. Rhaenyra only made that offer to repair friendships because now most people know that her sons are bastards, so she has to do something. And marrying her bastard son to a true Targaryen is a good way to strengthen his position as the next in line for the throne after Rhaenyra.
But it's ultimately just a band aid. It doesn't do anything to put Alicent's true fears at ease, which is the safety of Aegon and Aemond. Why Rhaenyra hasn't just flat out told Alicent that no matter what she won't harm them is crazy. And ofc Alicent doesn't like the idea of a bastard marrying her true born daughter. @@mimi20101942 Plain featured means no white hair. She's not a targ by blood so obviously she doesn't have their hair. Meanwhile Rhaenyra and her husband both have the white hair and therefore the kids should have it if they weren't bastards
Legitimately touching just how much Viserys adores his daughter. And the way he held and talked to his newest grandson? I got emotional when he said, "a fine prince." You could just feel the love in every single word he spoke and how he looked at Rhaenyra and Joffrey.
he only adores her bc she reminds him of his wife he killed
Vhagar is a she, the queen of dragons, probably the largest GoT dragon alive that we will ever see on screen. She's one of the 3 dragons(alongside Meraxes and Balerion) and the only one left alive that helped Aegon conquered Westeros 300 years ago before this show took place.
It actually wasn’t just Harwin that died in the fire, Lyonel, his father, died as well. That was (probably) the body they showed on the stretcher that the soldiers were carrying out at the end.
The walking scene was tough, more power to her for doing it.
The scene with Aegon was getting some satisfaction in the window, is the same window Tommen stepped out to get some air.
Too soon
couple of info about this ep, when the king said he got his father nose ( house strong are knowing for having a DISTINCTIVE noses) vhagar is the oldest and biggest dragon she was one of the 3 dragons in aegon conquest, in westeros religion ( the fight of the seven stranger is the god of death ) when harwin told her I'll be a stranger when we meet again its a subtle way to say I'll be dead, alicent kids are always wearing green
I hate how they cut the scene where daemon was hugging and comforting his daughters it's like they just want to show his bad side
Editor must be like:
*Daemon showing his grief with his daughters*
Nah, cut it out.
*Aegon doing a Homelander impression in the window*
Put that shit in!
They made Daemon seem so cold this ep
To be fair, if something isn't included in the final cut it could be because the director didn't want to portray that in cannon
@@danielruiz8259 that aegon scene was prettt important, establishes aegon, his frat boy just wanna have fun mentality, showing he doesn’t want to challenge rheanyra and Alicent forcing this into him.

At least Ser Harwin knew how to play his fucking role, CRISTON.
"Ive been trying to loc my hair for the past, 3 years.. Why wont it loc mom!!!" *Dead* lolololol
Theories i picked up this week:
1.) Dreamfyre, the dragon Aemond saw in the dragonpit that also burned him is the mother of Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion (Dany’s dragons).
Viserys at the end was kissing the ring of his first wife, so yeah he's missing his way nicer wife lol
I noticed the change in Alicent as well. She was really nice and caring in the beginning
@@MrFredstt her design was obvious, and Viserys knew it after he fired Otto as his Hand, but to him, Alicent is just a duty of his crown, and Aemma was the love of his life
The irony is he gave a painful death to his nicer wife.
I love that GRRM instilled that in all the stories of the books and it jumped into the TV adaptations as well.
where was duty when rhaenyra had bastards
Bruh Alicent is just a petty hypocrite dumbass .
@@raytheswift422 she chose love over duty that was the whole point of OP’s comment lol
The 1st conversation of the show was Rhaenyra 's mom telling her a woman's battlefield is pregnancy.
so they're showing us alot battles.

Also as sad as it was I would’ve made the same choice as Laena made, not only is it a quick death but I would rather have it be said that it took a dragon incinerating me to kill me.
did you guys notice how everytime Daemon scene was over they would go to Rhaenery next
These edits always kill me bruh 🤣 Top tier editor!
It's funny how Alicent always claims to stand on what's right and pure but trusted someone who snitched on his family and her former friend. So dumb lol!

RIP Harwin he was a real one. 🥲🙏🏿

Viserys be like: I just wanna build my LEGOs 😢😢
Man Strong's punches sounded so full. They were literally thudding. It was kinda impressive when Cole didn't even had a broken nose.
Aegon with the guitar is top notch editing.
It wasn’t his child the king was thinking of but his wife and the decision he made pretty much he misses her
I dont understand why alicent is so salty at Rhaenyra to begin with. like Ma'am you and your father maneuvered yourself into the situation as queen 6 months after your best friend's mom died. The kids don't even want to be part of this and just are content to be kids and alicent is pushing her agenda on her son. Then gets on Rhaenyra because she's not having sex with her gay husband.

13:46. That would be Racallio Ryndoon, and the rumors are true. The hair dying is cultural. As for the dresses, Essosi are also far more relaxed with people's sexuality than Westeros, so they don't mind if a dude crossdresses.
16:12. *Spams X to doubt* Alicent, the Seven Kingdoms are going through a golden age since the final few years of Jaehaerys's reign. Nobody cares about court politics, and Viserys could've given an ambitious second son of one of the coastal houses to rule the Stepstones from Bloodstone, which is basically the biggest of the islands.
There are a myriad of options:
Vaemond of the Velaryons (the Master of Complaints from episode 3)
A Redwyne, whose house has a personal fleet of 200 galleys
He could've picked one from the Shield Islands, since they know naval warfare defending it from Ironborn more than once
There's also House Farman, or Manderly or Borell from the Sisters(the islands north of the Vale), Tarth even due to proximity.
Even the Celtigars or Bar Emmons could've been picked, the former being Valyrians alongside the Velaryons and Targaryens
He even could've picked a Hightower to keep you happy. But instead, Alicent whispers in Viserys's ear and allows the Stepstones to fall back into Triarchy hands, and Targaryen trade is threatened again.

That's considered a pretty big insult in GoT as well as in real life medieval Europe.
@@MrFredstt That's true. And that's why it's a shame that most people are so shallow thinking that Alicent is just being bitter and jealous because Rhaenyra has been sleeping around. No, it has always been about the safety of her children since episode 5.
