My 850 is a Jack of all trades. I do mostly bird and nature photography however it also excels at landscape and of course general everyday photography.
Wow Adrian what a beautiful Sanctuary you have great diversity of birds. You have always favored that D850 we can understand why the colors are stunning and paired with that Nikon 80 to 400mm is a perfect combination. Have a wonderful weekend my friend. 📸👏👏
Thank you so much for watching. I was out yesterday morning doing some bird photography with the D850 and oh man! Some of the shots I was getting were fairytale like with the light being the way it was. Truly happy with the D850 and very happy I own one. Hope you have an great weekend and good to know you are safe from any hurricanes over there, cheers 📸🙏
That looks a fantastic reserve mate loads of variety and some lovely images as well. I'm also very glad I recommended the Nikon D850 to a Nikon shooter shooting wildlife and looking to upgrade from his d3200! He won't be disappointed!👍
Thanks for watching Scott. I dare say you’d have a field day here with your gear. I think there’d be heaps more activity at this place at sunrise and sunset. Yes the D850 is still my go to camera for birds and wildlife. Never disappoints. Have a great week mate cheers 🍻 📸🙏
Thank you so much for your kind comment Leo. Really appreciate you watching. Have a great weekend 📸🙏

Another great photography Adrian, what amazing place to visit and capture, great set of photographs and video footage. Specially the water dragons! Many thanks for sharing your work - have a fantastic week :)
Thanks for watching Shaun. Much appreciated mate. It's a pretty cool place to hang out. Next time I might pack a lunch and just sit in the bird hide and see what goes past for some shots. Enjoy the rest of your weekend mate cheers 📸🙏
You said it in the video, Adrian: There is everything there. It is so amazing what wildlife you have around you. You got out some fantastic images and a great video! 😉👍 Have a great weekend, Christian
Thank you very much Christian. It was a great place to explore. I will have to go back on another day at a different time. I believe there would be more wildlife early in the morning or late in the evening. Have a great weekend my friend, cheers 📸🙏
Looked like a fun day out! There is something about that D850 - the colours and the shots just have so much depth to them. All fabulous but I particularly loved the little fairy wren. Oh my gosh so cute. The colours on the Bee Eater too were magic.
Thanks for watching Denise. It was pretty good there and I want to go back again in the warmer months when I know there's going to be more things out like butterflies, frogs, maybe snap a shot of a Platypus next time too at dusk. Enjoy your Sunday, cheers 📸🙏
Great video Adrian! Some really great wildlife in this sanctuary! Looks like an amazing place to spend the day! I am partial to the water dragons, very similar to our massive iguanas and monitor lizards we have everywhere down here. People hate them, but I love them, and they are wonderful to photograph because of their colors and texture! I really liked the albino duck - very unique looking. The Fairy Wren at 5:40 was beautiful! And the rainbow bird at 7:08 was a beauty. Fantastic images and as you said, fantastic colors you got from the D850! Really enjoyed it. Hope you are well and having a great weekend!
Thanks Paul for watching. I was glad to know you were ok during the hurricane that hit you there. I was following your Insta stuff with great interest for any updates. Loved those shots of the pier you got. Terrible about those other poor people that got hit the hardest. Have a great weekend mate, cheers 📸🙏
What a beautiful Sanctuary to explore! Those water dragons looked super cool😀 Great shots of some beautiful bird species too, especially liked that 2nd portrait of the bee-eater! Enjoy the rest of your weekend mate:) Cheers
Thanks for watching Peter. I need to go back when the frogs are out and also there is a butterfly enclosure too. I might go near dusk next time and head down the river, never know a Platypus might stick its head up. Enjoy your weekend buddy cheers 📸🙏
Thanks for watching David. There are a couple of videos at the end of this one you can check out. One on focus settings and another on photographing birds in flight. Both for the D850. Hope they help out 📸🙏
Adrian, I love your videos--just getting interested in photography at a very ripe old age. Curious as to what camera and mike you are using to film yourself while shooting! Thanks.
Thank you for watching Ron. The camera I use to film with is the Osmo Action. A new model have come out though called the Osmo Action 3. Another camera you could try which I recommend also is the Sony ZV-1. It's compact and fits in your pocket. I made a video on it here >ua-cam.com/video/kdjudGKEbZs/v-deo.html - Have a great weekend, cheers 📸🙏
Thanks for watching Tim. Now that is one lens I'd love to try, The Nikon 500 PF is definitely on my radar (when I can afford one that is). I think it would be an awesome sharp and fast combo with the D850 especially given its relatively light weight. Enjoy your weekend
I used to say the exact same thing. Then I decided to save money instead of wasting it on the mundane garbage I used to buy. Tucked a couple hundred bucks away each month and sure enough in 2 years I had enough money to buy one.
The Nikon D850, still my fav camera 📸🤙
It’s still an awesome camera👍💪🏻

Awesome 👏 indeed

Great pictures!I too have the D850 that I just got earlier this year and hope to get more acquainted with the camera more and have lots of subjects.

@@adrianalfordphotography Thank you my friend. We were spared with this one we are further south all we had was lots of rain and wind gust. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thanks for watching. Yes I agree there is just "something" about the images from the D850. So glad to own one. Have a great weekend cheers 📸🙏
Awesome Adrian - what a fun place to wander and explore. So much diversity of all sorts of feathered, furry and skinned things. Wonderful.
Thanks for watching Denise. It was pretty good there and I want to go back again in the warmer months when I know there's going to be more things out like butterflies, frogs, maybe snap a shot of a Platypus next time too at dusk. Enjoy your Sunday, cheers 📸🙏
Great shots, and perfect location. I love my 80-400mm. Thank you
Thanks for watching Tony. Enjoy your weekend 📸🙏
This was really awesome to watch, thank you. I have the D850 also and have learnt heaps from your channel.
Thanks heaps for watching. Yes D850 is so awesome. Have a great weekend. 📸🙏

Stunning video Adrian, as always. Can you point me in the direction of your video on wildlife settings for the D850?
Take care, David

Love the content. I wonder if you use exposure compensation or spotmetering.
Thanks for watching. Lately I have been experimenting with exposure methods. I don't really have just one way at the moment. Have a great day 📸🙏
I think you were photographing an Isabelline duck, maybe a mallard
Have you ever tried the Nikon 500 PF with the D850 or the Sigma 500 F/4 with the D850? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts.

@@adrianalfordphotography You too! Keep up the great videos!
The duck was a leucistic mallard.
Thank you 🙏
Idk how old I will be before I can afford it.
