    Jobs like that make me itch! There is always some airline pilot or some other asshole on the HOA that don't understand why you cannot get back there with out bending a blade of grass and are never satisfied.

    It just always amazes you how the people you put in charge of taking care of our infrastructure can be so clueless about doing the job. You done a fine job with what your were allowed to do. But looks like they didn’t go as far as they should have. Great content 👍.

    I don't understand how people think. A lot of the money goes towards prep work and finish work. Why in the hell would they just leave that mound of mud there. Another 20 trucks or so and the whole pound is dredged out for the most part. I'll never understand it I suppose

    • @Rickimusic
      @Rickimusic 4 роки тому +1

      Allocated x dollars every 5 years or so for dredging which entails what the State requires to be removed to put the pond back in compliance. I agree it looks penny wise and pound foolish since the setup and cleanup is so extensive but they have a budget and thou shalt not go over budget. :) I agree that 20 more loads would have made it look beautiful but, rather the same as filling potholes and not replacing all the macadam - blacktop for the Southerners. NC is a poor State, in many ways.

    • @cliff4695
      @cliff4695 4 роки тому +2

      @@Rickimusic this is a HOA. Has 0 to do with NC. You can clearly tell by the manicured lawns and the fountain. If they took the amount out it wouldn't be every 5-10 years, more like 10+ years. I was in this industry for 12 years. I'm sure Chris would agree. If you're there, just take care of it

    If I was making the decisions on this basin I would have a small settling pond where the stream comes in and on a regular schedule I would have the sand removed from the catch basin. Up in Illinois where I grew up most lakes and catch basins operated that way. In the long run it saves money and time maintaining the level depth of a lake.

    Videos just keep giving. I'll never see them all. To Chris's producer, I get a lot from these videos. Take for instance throwing out grass seed. I'd throw out seed in my backyard. Seed wouldn't take. So I put out straw and that worked on my 1/25 acre. Eaglegards... From Texas. My daughter lives in Fayetteville. Son-in-law is an Army Major.

      Joe Robinsin - Ya knowww, most people call me a miserable old bastard. I take some pride in that because deep down I can be way more miserable and am not. People trust me, staff as good as Tim like me, I have a good circle of friends. But, I’m a fair, miserable old bastard. If Tim was on my team, i would make sure he knew he was valuable, get him to leave his phone in the truck, but definitely reward him once in a while. That way he knows he is important to the team and keeps on going like he does. I’m still the miserable old bastard though!
      You,,,,,,, you make me look like the nice guy!!! Heck, you are off the charts grumpy and mean! My staff would never respect you and they would never work for you like they do for me, or Tim does for Chris. Ya gotta find some middle ground there ya mean old buzzard! Lighten up just a little there. You would be surprised how much better your staff will respond to you.
      Stay safe out there anyways, Eh!

    It's not your fault, but this site was crap! Only a part of it was dredged what should have been dredged. Lowering the water level further and working "dry" would have been better. If you then see how much was broken to drive off the overburden, it was simply not worth it.

    Thanks to your videos, I started looking into Takeuchi and just recently bought a 2016 TL12 high flow! I love it! Would that big material handling bucket perform better if you welded teeth on it? I’m considering using your idea for that big bucket on a pond build I have in a few months.

    The machine may be strong, but I am guessing if the bucket is twice the specifications it will ruin a whole lot of bearings, joints, transmission, etc a whole lot faster than if used according to manufacturer's specifications. That is the trade-off.
