So this video was recommended to me after your super troop video which I also commented on. Kind of a long comment. I think it's important to recognize that trading of cards in clash royale only kinda works because of 2 reasons: 1. The number of cards you get is largely time gated. i.e. you can't really farm for cards in clash royale unless you're spending gems to continuously run grand challenges and have a decent win rate. The number of cards you get depends on the chests, and chests take a set time to open that you can't really speed up. This is unlike resources in clash of clans where you can always farm more and at best the rate at which you farm differs depending on the league you are in, your TH, army, etc. There is no inherent value to trading resources because you can theoretically farm it faster/easier than trading a set amount of it. For example say I could trade 10 million gold/week for 100,000 DE. I can just farm 10 million gold or 100K DE in an hour or two. Why bother with trading, where I have to find a willing person who will donate that amount to me, and will likely cost a transactional resource (a token or something). 2. More importantly, trades work in clash royale because of the inherent randomness of the rewards you get from playing. You can't really guarantee that the cards you get from a chest will be those that you are currently using in your deck. So trades work because you are ideally trading cards you don't use for cards that you do. In clash of clans, resources aren't really like this. It's not like you do an attack in multiplayer and then at the end of it you get a random amount of gold/elixir/DE. You can actively choose to attack a base because you can see the amount of loot it has. For these reasons, trading resources doesn't really work in clash of clans imo. But there are places where trading may possibly work. 1. Thinking of the first point, there are a few time gated resources in clash of clans, namely CWL Medals, Raid Medals, and Ores for hero equipment. Now of these, CWL medals and Raid Medals are secondary resources that don't directly contribute to your upgrades, but rather allow you to purchase boosts to your progression. Raid medals can be used to buy magic items to speed your progress, or ore to upgrade equipment, and similarly, CWL medals also buy you magic items to speed your progress. Now, the magic items or ore you can buy with CWL medals vs raid medals differs a decent bit, and so you may be able to set up a system of trading between these two. For example, a player wanting to buy and use lots of builder potions may want to trade raid medals for CWL medals, and a player investing heavily into ores may choose to trade CWL medals for raid medals, to purchase ore from the raid shop. This trade however, would largely be meaningless if SC just chose to homogenize the magic items/ore offerings that one could purchase using CWL medals and Raid Medals. Alternatively, trading could be incentivized if the shops were more differentiated in their offerings (for instance Raid medals could only be used to buy ore, power potions and hero potions, while CWL medals could only be used to buy hammers, research and builder potions). But the player base would very likely heavily dislike the change proposed to generate trading behavior, since it comes with the direct worsening of the variety offered by the shops. 2. There is almost no randomness to any rewards in clash of clans, except for the season challenges like the control your heroes challenge this month, where you open chests and aren't guarantied any particular reward. Now some of the exclusive magic items you get from these challenges could be made tradeable, but these are usually pretty weak (if they are time saving items), or have very situational use (like the item that gives you instant troop trading for 20 min or the item that gives you maxed hero and hero equipment for 3 battles). Additionally, all of these items are temporary upon being received, only being useable for 24 hours, which makes them very weak overall as well (these items could be made permanent and then maybe a trade system could kinda be established, but this would be so marginal I don't even think it's worth the effort for SC to implement). Comparing Clash of Clans to other prominent games where players engage in trading, there is one more place where trades may take place- hero skins. But again, hero skins aren't randomly acquired and so any trade that SC allows for under 1500 gems would inherently lose them money, and so they won't do it, while any trade that costs more that 1500 gems, players wouldn't do. Now if skins were instead acquired via a random chest process where you could spend 250 gems to get a random skin, and then enable trading for say 750, this could work, but this inherently devalues gold pass skins, and would likely lose SC money, unless they removed the skin offerings from the shop and you could only acquire skins via the random chest process, in which case a LOT of players would complain about this change. Overall, in-game trading is just not something clash of clans currently could implement without hurting SCs bottom line or by enraging the player base. It's too much effort for very very minimal reward, imo. I also think this is overall a good thing and speaks to transparent and player friendly game design on SC's end with clash of clans.
If I'm not mistaken it has already been leaked that this will be added in the next update called the alchemist and it works like the apprentice builder where using gems upgrades the amount of resources you can convert
You know what my master plan is? It is to complete all the necessary requirements for that resource and then I have another open channel to gain more resource from the other just by doing this since I don’t need that particular resource anymore 😎
Just have it be you trade exactly 2m Gold/Elixir for 2m Gold/Elixir, there would be zero exploitation you just basically swap with a clanmate and nothing gained or loss
Yk this might be useful cause rn I dont really have any use for dark elixir since I maxed my heroes/troops/spells for my townhall.. And also I need some gold and elixir for walls 😅

bruh that in no way includes clanmates or any other of your accounts, it's just between your own resources
that doesn't include clanmates
that doesn't include clanmates or any other players, just you
Using gems at all convertions seems like a downside
Banger video and topic! I can’t stop watching the anime Valkyrie. What……
This video is so helpful. Glad I'm already a supporter before this guy hit a million subscribers.❤❤❤
i feel like thered be no dark elixir left to raid if everyone was getting rid of their DE 😅
Great idea,When it would be implemented ❤
Stay golden pony boy
I would trade home base gold for builder gold at ten times its value, builder base gold is as valuable as actual gold
Unpopular opinion: In early town halls, elixir and gold are harder to amass than dark elixir.
This comment is useless btw
Heck no, i remember struggling to get dark elixir was always low
@@UtopiaBettaThanAstroto me its so true
It used to be harder attaining dark elixir. Now you’ll usually have a full storage of it almost all the time. Used to be oil but they watered it down

Yes it should ❤
It might create a free rider problem
i can get rich if parks is right
W vid as always, hopefully if they did this we could trade ores as well
How dare you train resources
W vis jacob!
Thank you!
Bro you're needed in the clan war ASAP, else we're gonna lose our undefeated streak again🥲
Jacob doesn’t know about the Alchemist yet or do you ?😮
WAIT DID I PREDICT SMTH (I have no idea what the alchemist is)
@ it’s another helper in the village that will convert one resource type to another, and sadly gems to level her up ever so more
@@JacobClashesit is not official announced but it is in the game files
You can trade loot with your self
And maybe even for gems
Rare rabbit encounter 🤫
Yup it's a great idea to implement but they don't, I have 15 ID's and in my th12-11-13-15 it's overflowing starry ore but in my th17 it's 0 😅😅😂
