I was the youngest of 7 kids and all my brothers and sisters liked to party , let's drink and smoke and turn the stereo up ! This was mid to late 70s , yahoo , I had a good time growing up ! Listening to Deep Purple when I was 8 or 9 years old , loved every second of it !
Here is one of seven reasons why Made In Japan is my favorite album ! This is the best versions of these songs over the week they spent in Japan . Just wait until you check out Strange Kind Of Woman , from the Made in Japan album , but , they are all good ! Other good ones are Fireball , Speed King , , there's too many to name here ! Keep on jammin !!
Everyone had Made In Japan. Arguably the best live recording ever. It was many years later when i finally heard the studio version of this song. Lazy is my favorite track of this double live.
The entire Made in Japan live album is fantastic, you can't go wrong listening to any track. I usually prefer the studio versions of most songs, but this album has the definitive version of several songs. As for more Deep Purple studio songs for you, I'll have to review what you've already heard, but I'm sure there's plenty of great stuff for you to still discover.
Best version for me too! Awesome track from the MIJ album is "Strange Kind of Woman" - call and response at it's absolute finest, you won't believe it's live and unedited!
Made in japan one of top live lps ever! Others, rock n roll animal, lou reed, frompton comes alive, peter frampton, david live, david bowie, stagestruck, rory gallagher, all good starters 🎶🏁
Maybe one of the best versions, listened to Made In Japan/extended in the car for years, among the 3 best rock live albums ever, such versatile songs. I wish everyone a good start to the week!
Woman From Tokyo, Rat Bat Blue, You Fool No One, Pictures of Home, Fireball, The Mule, Perfect Strangers, Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming(from the Morse era), Dealer, Gettin Tighter, Drifter, You Keep On Movin(from the Bolin era)
Only Ian Gillam can hit and sustain those notes. It’s no wonder that Andrew Loyd Weber and Tim Rice choose Ian to sing the part of Jesus on the Jesus Christ Superstar album. His passion is off the charts, just incredible.
Their finest album is Machine Head: best cuts Lazy & Highway Star. Don't miss them. Deep Purple, together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, have been referred to as the "unholy trinity of British hard rock and heavy metal in the early to mid-seventies" We had the best music, no doubt.
Hello Shawn. Ike your "Reactions" including a little background which sets you apart from most others. Sometimes we like music because of it's history as well as it's musical content and talent. I love Deep Purple, though that song is not a favorite of mine... I'm a late boomer so to speak and my hobby used to be going to concerts... Live in Michigan in an area with a many concert halls venues such as Cobo Hall, Pine Knob, Joe Lewis Arena, The Palace Of Auburn Hills, Silver Dome, etc... I got to see Deep Purple once at Cobo Made In Japan tour... Awesome experience.
A killer song that no one reacts to is No One Came. It is the final song of the Mark II era and has Ian singing about the life of a fading rock star and wondering if anybody really cares in the end. It's different. A great jam. You'll love it.
The whole Made In Japan is dope, starting with Highway Star. This amazing live chronical doesn't even include hot songs such as speed king, black night, hush, never before, fireball, knocking at your back door, perfect strangers, wring that neck etc...
yes! woooooow! eheh - simply a masterpiece! Made in Japan and Live in Stockholm are definitively my favourite album ever. The Best live band ever! about version, I prefer Live in Stockholm 1970's one because in the middle there is an amazing transition between keyboard and guitar that in this version miss
I was there, not that I remember much! I do remember Ritchie putting his guitar on the ground and playing with his foot or something weird like that. Was deployed on a destroyer homeported in Yokosuka and me an a couple buddies would take the bullet into Tokyo and go to the Budokan to see rock music, saw a few greats there. The train alone was a trip because we would get pretty stoned and the train would be packed with peeps that only came up to our shoulders. BTW no disrespect, the Japanese people were always kind, friendly and amazing.
😂lucky devil! I was in Japan in 98 and toured the land with the bullettrain - unforgettable experience, esp. the passing of Mt. Fuji . Lol, hope you weren´t too stoned and remembered getting a gift by the staff while on board - we all did!
Easter is coming. Listen to Ian Gillan sing the part of Jesus on the original 1970 version of Jesus Christ Superstar. There is a grwat video of him doing Gethsemane on UA-cam.
I think, emi had no interrest to give it free to the people worldwide. But the demands were sooooo huge, the the Management says, ok we give it to the world. Well done emi.
When you're thirteen years old in 1972 and can only afford ten albums, Made in Japan is one of them. Yessongs was another, and you should check out something from the live movie, despite its poor quality. Voters?
One of the best rocksongs ever, executed by a group of crazy talented musicians on one of the best live albums ever.
You definitely need to listen to When A Blind Man Cries. It's a very beautiful song by Deep Purple.

Yes, best version, no question. Must try the 20 Minute Version of Space Trucken from this same album, it will blow your doors off...!
Most Definitely !
Yes, mind blowing performance

Dude, Rat Bat Blue is another you've got to hear. Lord shines. Yeah. Peace
Yes, good version, it gave me a lift.
Perhaps the greatest rock guitar solo in concert history.
Sin dudas!!🔥🔥🎸🎸🎸
Awesome band . . . I saw them live in England in 1970 . . any track from 'Deep Purple In Rock' is worth hearing, as it's all good.
Best version for me too! Awesome track from the MIJ album is "Strange Kind of Woman" - call and response at it's absolute finest, you won't believe it's live and unedited!

MEJOR LIVE DE LA HISTORIA,🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🎸🎸🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥
Richie at his best you don't call them to go for nothing even Jimmy Page says when it comes to solos he can't touch Richie the whole Band rock Legends
There is nothing like Made In Japan !! It is thee ultimate in rock n roll !

Deep Purple was my first concert, I was 13 at the time, thank goodness I was a 70’s teenager
Wow I’m a little later but thank god I have seen them in their pomp 🎸🥁🎹💥
Thanks for the great reaction!! May I suggest Flight of the Rat, another banger from their In Rock album.

For a studio song, you should try out “Space truckin’” It’s on the Machine Head Album!
Smoke on the water from that concert might be better than the studio version
Strange Kind Of Woman , live , Japan , 1972 !!
Ian Gillan sang the part of Jesus on Andrew Lloyd Webber's monster-selling 1971 album _Jesus Christ Superstar_ .

Cheap Trick, and the Stones' Get Out Your Ya Ya's!

A dreamversion!!!!!!!!!
Lars Ulrich from Metallica - His Favourite all time band
Try Gimmie Shelter cover by Grand FUNK or Uriah Heep song MAGICIANS BIRTHDAY 😮😮😮
I still like the 1970 live BBC performance the best. I had the Made In Japan album since it first came out.
My husband has like 3 of those shirts lol
I think, emi had no interrest to give it free to the people worldwide. But the demands were sooooo huge, the the Management says, ok we give it to the world. Well done emi.
This is the peak
I see it at the first time in my life, i am in four months 63. Bye

do BURN
The only thing that sucks is the video isnt 100% in Japan. Granada TV show also included
There's not exist made in Japan video, there’s two videos. Denmark live and Granada TV live
Doesn't come close to the 1970 tv studio version.
