Bhang is Hemp leaves in powdered form. A popular drink "Thandai" made of bhang is taken by many for light intoxication. I think he was selling the same.
Also, 'Namastay' is a perfectly fine greeting for everybody in India, irrespective of religion. Almost all regions understand this word. :)

Hi Max. I love your videos! It's just so refreshing to see you explore historical cities like Lucknow and tasting the famous delicacies. But I feel like there's so much you're missing out on being someone who's not from around here. I would love to take you on a real and authentic tour of these cities and being a local I can help you experience some authentic local stuff. I can't explain how thankful I am to you for representing the beautiful side of India. The ones that's less talked about and barely explored. Anyway, if you want to experience the true culture and the local traditions of Indian cities, please do get in touch because I genuinely want you to have this experience. And it's just for the sake of experience, it's not a sales pitch if you're worried about that 😂. I would love to be your travel companion for once, any city you name it.

Lucknow Kulcha is my favorite bread in the whole wide world. And that red bread is sheermal that isn't so great. Sheermals are better in Delhi. And if you want to taste the original Nihari that has that red chilli kick, you gotta come to Delhi. I am tempted to ask you to bring me 4 kulchas, if you haven't already left. I have had Lucknow biryani flown over to to Delhi twice this month but none of the restaurant in the food delivery service app has Kulchas in their intercity delivery menu.
And the thandai guy was saying the old testimonial book was already full and this is the new one. And he was saying Bhaang which you misunderstood as paan, bhang is just weed spiced green version of thandai which he believes is good for the brain besides being intoxicating.
