The average number killed by the inquisition was about 5-10 yearly. And you'd have to be doing horrendous **** to get that. Like Epstein, Dahmer etc. The inquisition was prefered over the secular courts because the secular courts were SO CORRUPT that it was the norm to be deemed guilty before trial began. SO...people blasphemed to get the inquisition. They were given 3 canonical lawyers as defense attorneys. It was not perfect but a great leap ahead in terms of how courts work. Much of the myths around the inquisition come from Anti Catholic but especially Anti Spanish propaganda. Which midwits take hook line and sinker. Also we were not going after witches really.
