I've always been a big fan of the John Wetton/Geoff Downes Asia (and other collaborations) and unfortunately did not pay any attention to the John Payne era. But this is a great song - great vocals, great keyboards and guitar.
Far too pompous and pretentious to be really Asia, both melody and lyrics. Sorry Payne fans, but the only thing I can say about this song is indeed, Gone too far. Back to "Listen Children" or "Bury me in willow", now THAT is Asia. This here is Payne & Guests.
I like the titles of the two Asia,a common denominator to the two,Geoff Downes the soul of the group,the one who held it at arm's length from start to finish ,without Geoff there would not have been the sustainability of the group,he composed almost all the titres,also Asia is not Payne and guests, Asia had a different life before and after it is a fact, each era for me brought good titles to each one to chose what him please without disparaging anyone
