      @@sammyn9345 not sure what the specs are for this year and model but i seen the magnum 51(i think) reduced its fuel economy to only 100 gallons per hour.....not real fuel budget friendly so $27 probably isn't that much of a stretch. Then again when your boat is worth millions whats a few $$$

      The people that own these kinda boats arent the least bit concerned about the price for fuel.

    Magnum, very underrated in the US. Very popular in Europe, their biggest market. I remember seeing them being built on Thunderboat Row in North Miami Beach.

    what makes the rooster tail all of a sudden?

  • @marctoscanini7225
    @marctoscanini7225 3 роки тому +1

    I always read that a big rooster tail is wasting HP but every fast boat I see usually throws a huge tail... so what am I missing. I’m assuming these are some type of surface drives, so I guess my question is should surface drives throw a Rooster tail?
    It sure looks kool as hell but is it slowing the boat down? I can’t imagine it is, I’m sure the people designing this baby want it to go as fast as possible...
    Great Video!!

    • @Strafattodiacido
      @Strafattodiacido Рік тому +1

      You usually get a boat on wake by trimming the props so that they get some air, to avoid too much stress on the transmission, and flaps lowered. Then, once on wake, you lower the props and rise the flaps to gain speed. Then to gain more speed, you rise the props again, much much higher: surface props are made specifically to run half in half out, generating that rooster tail and reducing drag. A non surface prop would "waste hp" if too high, surface prop don't they keep the same thrust but reduce drag
