For most Windows users, Windows Photo Viewer is a default APP to open image files, but what if you can't open photos and it shows "It appears that we don't support this file format"? How to fix this?
Normally, it could be Windows Photo Viewer' problem, or the image file you want to open is damaged or corrupted. So here are 3 methods for you to fix.
Way 1: Reset Windows Photo Viewer
When you can't sure if your image file is corrupted, reset Windows Photo Viewer first. Go to Settings and reset it. Windows will repair the APP if there is any error with the application. This could fix CANT OPEN PHOTOS error sometimes.
Way 2: Open with Photo Edit Tool
If your image file is slightly corrupted, some photo edit tool could open and repair it. You can try to open with Paint or Photoshop to see if your problem is fixed. If so, save the repaired photo.
Way 3: Repair with 4DDiG File Repair

Hope it works!
1. Please make sure the sample video file you added is a valid file created with the same device and the same format as the corrupted video.
2. You can try to repair the corrupted videos again with a different sample video.
3. Try 4DDiG File repair software
Not working. This app. Photo not clear
All this program does for free is is give you a grainy thumbnail of the repaired file. You have to buy the program to actually export them (supposedly); it doesn't work like in the video.
