Well put together. Coincidentally I seriously considered a 1950's Omega - eventually decided against it. You make some good points - especially the idea that these (and the vastest majority of other) watches DO NOT go up in value!
I have a 1969 Seamaster genive, no date. Solid gold case and caseback. Had it serviced and it runs perfectly. At 34mm I don’t wear it much. Seems a bit dainty.
@@londonerwatches you are not wrong. When people owned a watch, it was worn everyday and doing any task. When I got it, you couldn’t see through the crystal it was so scratched. The watch though was in great condition. I put a new crystal in at service.

Stunning watch - not surprised at all that it’s a bit dainty as you said. These watches go through a ton of wear and tear over the years!
