Stop leak does not work good (or even not at all) with hyper modern rubber seals, the brown and blue ones are Viton or Neoprene seals...they are resistent. Stop seal works best with BUNA (synthetical black rubber seals = NBR) On vintage cars with NBR rubber gaskets most stop leak additives work pretty well!
Hi, You seem very unwedgeable and wonder if you can help me. My car has been leaking oil for some time and is suspected to be from the oil pan or from the engine itself for bad seals. Considering that taking the oil pan apart from my vehicle will be a royal pain in the ass to do so and don't have the means to do it either. Also don't have the means to take the engine apart either. Also my car is too old and not worth having the engine seals fixed. MY car is an 08 Outback So my question is what would you recommend to use as a stop leak kind of thing or does one not really exist? Thank you for your time
At 205 can't be at it 9 out of 10 leaks will be stopped if it still leaks you found your answer for $20 I've had excellent results for years used on 3 different cars
