Still kicking ass after 35 years!!! NA still play a brutal show live. Better than most old school bands that get tired after 20 minutes. John Brannan is a beast on stage. The crowd is awesome, these kids are loving every minute of it.
angry white men. John Brannon: vocals Ron Sakowski (he also was on Necros and Easy Action): Bass Harold Richardson (Easy Action): Guitar Rich Moore (Meatmen): Drums
35 years later and Negative Approach are still as ferocious as ever. Maybe even more so. For some of us, aging will be bitter, so this kind of punk rock/grindcore is still relevant.
My first show ever, at 13-14, was NA & Necros at the Freezer Theater in Detroit, in…81-82. All I remember of that show was a headache, fear & complete awe for the RAW POWER of John Brannon! He still kicks ass, as does the crowd in this vid!
I was in Moscow at this time, but didn't know about this. Oh well, whatever, we all miss an infinity of whatever is going on or will go on when we're gone.
holy shit... i just stumbled onto this... used to go to their shows in Detroit at the Freezer Theater and The Graystone and wherever the hell else they played. I can't tell if this is John or not; but the "gargling with Drano®" voice is damn good. Oh... and Larissa... you are loved and missed.
DeanieWeeny F I don't know if anyone else has told you already, but if not, this lineup is indeed John Brannon, as ferocious as ever, Ron from Necros on bass, on drums I originally thought was the original guy then I realized it's John Lehl, the current drummer for the Meatmen (and my old band, Monitor, a little shoutout to myself, whoo hoo), and Harold from John Brannon's current band Easy Action on guitar.
fucking brilliant footage and superb sound...totally fucking rips...saw them in Belfast around about this time...amazing...crowd weren't as enthusiastic as this one...lol....class..would love to have been at the Moscow gig...
He's gotta keep close eye on the drums or else he loses the beat. I did this same thing in a band i played in years ago. Esp a problem in bands with fast tunes and dif rhythm changes/time signatures, and volume!
this is easily the best live performance i've seen on youtube
This show reminds me of how things were in the 80s... crowd going crazy but one actually getting hurt. Awesome shit.
yeah thanks god in europe we mostly mosh

Mad respect for NA. How humble they are. No rockstar attitude and shit! Long live NA!
Insane crowd, the way it should be!
Consistently the finest vocalist of our generation.

Marc Fedak
This is NOT fucking grindcore... it's fucking hard-core. Get it straight you fucking dumbass.
absolutely always in love at 46
Aging will never make me bitter because we have hardcore and I can still skate at 43
Great crowd, just totally into it!

It is killer to see a crowd like this, I wish I was there with em all
"Detroit Hardcore" Seen them back in 83'! Classic!

jim latona They tour more now than ever. haha I'm sure glad they do because we didn't get much of a chance to see them back then, down here in TX.

I'm gonna be twitching tonight after watching this; just like i did after any NA show thirty! years ago. Y'all still got it. Guess I do do, too.

Reminds me of the clips from why be something you're not, NA is the best hard-core band I've had the opportunity to see, pure raw energy
they have aged a tad you crank...im nigh on 50 but dont look anything like i did in early punk scene..top band, top lyrics ....legends
26:18 WOW N/A actually covered "Solitary confinement" by the Weirdos!
Todos Poguean eso es re chimba... grandes los NA
what a show!
wish i knew of this band long ago - thanks
Does it need to be said again? So effing ferocious.
>band named Negative Approach
>arrive to the show
>shake everyone's hands
If the band name Is Negative Approach doesn't mean you have to act like an idiot with your audience. The band are nice genuine dudes, no petty cunts.
yeh when metal and punk bands play in latin america asia etc crowd goes crazt and crowds are the best that s for sure
Come to Wilmington , North Carolina!
What a mental show!!!😊😊😊
it seems in those 80 ts without cell phones
What an audience
Oh my holy shot! So good!
Song at 26:18?
FUUUCCK! Love them
I mean… does John Brannon even need a mic?

only if the American punk and hardcore scene was still this fierce. the new style of dancing in the USA is stupid.
the american punk scene is so washed up compared to this. Only East Los Angeles has a thriving punk and hardcore scene.
NA needs to go back and liberate Russia
That’s a fact
God damn, Russians don’t play!
