About us: We are a married couple that love outdoor-based adventures, travel and are in constant pursuit of audacious goals. We love hiking, rock climbing, mountaineering, backpacking, biking, and scuba diving. We prefer independent based adventures so tend to choose those, over tours. We absolutely love to explore this beautiful world!

thank you guys am doing this on Monday after Palm Sunday staying for a week
Aww that’s awesome! Have a blast 🙌🏼
Love the adventures! Thanks for sharing. Seeing the volcano in person must have been surreal! Be safe. Keep trekking. We do adventures in the Pacific Northwest, mostly kayaking and camping.
That’s awesome! We are actually from the PNW. Have you kayaked the Broughton Archipelago yet just north of Vancouver island? It’s spectacular if you are into kayaking! 🙌🏼
@@PursuingMountains it's on our list. Loved your video about your kayaking trip in the islands, very inspiring. We have done single night kayak camping trips to date, but need some time to work up to multi-day trips 😎
How cold was it ? I’m doing this next month ❤ loved the video
Hi Christina! It was super cold during the storm and at night. If possible I think having a base layer would be good, and a layered system with fleece, puffy and hard shell because you most likely will have to wait outside for a long time to see the lava at night. So being warm would be nice. I (Liz) went without a puffy but wished I had it. Have a fun trip!
👏👏👏
Thank you! ☺️☺️
Make sure you go to lake atitlan
Aww sadly we didn’t have time. It’s on our list for our next visit to Guatemala though :)
Hello, What month and day did you take this trip? I'm contemplating if I should go during the wet season. Thank you!
Hi! We went September 12th which I believe is the wet season. I would recommend waiting if you can. As you saw in this video we got in a horrible storm, but we got lucky in being able to see it erupt, we have heard of others who went around our time and and the clouds never parted so they were never able to see fuego.
Thanks so much for your reply. I appreciate it. @@PursuingMountains
How did you get from Antigua to El Soledad? Is there a chicken bus, shuttle or private car?
We showed it in the video. We took two different chicken busses to get to the trail head.
♥️♥️♥️♥️🇬🇹🇬🇹🇬🇹🇬🇹🇬🇹👍
Thank you! ❤️
When is the rainy season?
The wet season is from May to October but it can still rain the other part of the year
